Quando le convention sono piacevoli come queste… ci si va ancora più volentieri…

Sono appena tornata dall’annuale SATEC organizzato da Confindustria Nautica per noi soci nella cornice davvero inimitabile del Resort Borgo Egnazia in Puglia.

Quale posto potrebbe essere più adatto per parlare del benessere che crea il mondo della nautica se non in questa oasi di pace e di relax, in questo piccolo paesino incantato costruito nello stile delle masserie di una volta, dove ti perdi in mezzo alla bougainville, dove si danza la pizzica, dove degusti le prelibatezze locali in piazze illuminate di mille candele a cielo aperto mentre cala il sole, dove ti immergi nell’acqua fresca di una delle infinite piscine, fai un giro in bici verso il mare… e passi dei momenti piacevoli assieme a colleghi, amici e altri soci?

Il Satec è stato una convention dove si è discusso del futuro della nautica, dell’eccellenza di un settore, di sfide e obiettivi - ma soprattutto è stato un omaggio alla vita, al piacere di passare del tempo assieme e dare luogo a festeggiare un settore in ottima salute dove la sinergia tra la moltitudine di competenze è fondamentale e va giustamente festeggiata.

Abbiamo premiato i pionieri della nautica, ci siamo informati e abbiamo rafforzato i legami di lavoro e di amicizia.

Grazie a Confindustria Nautica per l’invito e l’organizzazione, grazie al Borgo Egnazia e grazie alla Regione Puglia per la sua bellezza e perfetta ospitalità!

After the TYBA Charter Show in Turkey I was invited by Galeo Yachting to a wonderful fam trip aboard the motorsailer Halcon del Mar - for which I would like to renew my gratitude.

We have been welcomed by a caring crew who excelled in service, warmth, entertainment, food and housekeeping. Our captain is a skilled fisherman too and caught calamari for us!

The yacht itself was in an impeccable condition, and with its 8 cabins offers plenty of space, inside and outside. It has also a deck whirlpool bath, a great sound system for disco nights and plenty of water toys such as jetskis, seabob, kayak, SUP and fishing gear.

🏝️Finally I had the opportunity to discover the beautiful navigation area that is the Bozburun, just in front of the Symi island.

It has extremely clear waters, very interesting archeological sites to discover, and is so near to the Greek Dodecanese that the cell phone often switches from the Turkish to the Greek network. 😉

It was such a joyful and relaxing charter experience and I had the pleasure to know some wonderful broker colleagues from all over the world.

💦 At the TYBA Charter Show it was a huge privilege for me to participate as a judge of the “Designer Water Contest” organized by CYBA, an international charter broker association that I am a proud active member of.

👉🏻 The goal of the contest is to promote sustainability on board of yachts and offer to the charter clients plastic free water.

🌸 The yachts were asked to create their personal flavored water, taking inspiration by the flower theme.

In 2 days and more than 4 hours we tested more than 20 designer waters and were surprised on how especially smaller yachts showed dedication and creativity in this context.

Together with the other judges Cem Boz, Nieves Morales, Nihal Gündaş and Cihan Atik we declared 3 winners and 2 special mentions.

The main criteria were the presentation and the taste, but also the originality and the name of water impacted our choice.

I think that thanks to the collaboration of all the participating yachts we contributed to sending a positive message about making our planet a little greener. 🌱

This year I had the immense pleasure of returning to Turkey 🇹🇷.

From 7-11 May I attended the TYBA Charter Show in Marmaris.

In uncertain geopolitical times it was important for me to send a clear message to my clients and broker colleagues:

Turkey is definitely a safe charter destination, just a short step away from the Greek Dodecanese Islands and easily reachable via international flights.
Travelling to Turkey is also a great opportunity to experience the excellent service of Turkish Airlines - one of the world’s best airlines - or alternatively, to fly to Kos or Rhodes and take a ferry.

But above all, Turkey is a country where HOSPITALITY is written in capital letters: the feeling of being welcomed by old friends, a delicious and healthy cuisine that is naturally low-carb, an outstanding organization and the exceptional quality of gulets and motor yachts ranging from classical elegance to contemporary design.

In addition, Turkey offers excellent value for money compared to charter rates in the Western Mediterranean.

For our clients we visited the newest entries on the Turkish charter market, met with crews and spoke with the Central Agents.
It is important for us to have strong business partners in Turkey who can oversee charters locally and guarantee a smooth overall charter experience.

After the recent TYBA Yacht Charter Show, I can confidently say that we are ready for the upcoming summer season!
