ALFA ROMEO ALFETTA TIPO 158
Initially released in 1938 it scored a 1 and 2 on its racing debut in 1938 at the Coppa Ciano, but due to the winds of war taking over the entire continent at first and the resto of the World until 1945, the cars were hidden under a fake pile of wood in pig farm not far from the Portello plants to avoid discovery by the N***s in the years of occupation, until the end of the war.

Having averted calamity and survived the war, the Alfa Romeo GP Tipo 158 went on to enjoy a magical year in 1950, accumulating six GP wins out of seven and only missing out on the Indianapolis 500 because no European teams attended the American race that year. This total domination allowed the Alfetta to convincingly win the inaugural Formula 1 World Championship.

A couple of weeks ago, our friend Dave Kennedy gave you a first glimpse of our upcoming Service Vehicles Collection.

They are now entering the final stage of development.

VALIANT CHARGER & REPCO VALIANT CHARGER — KIT CONTENT, IN DETAIL.

A closer look at the Valiant Charger and Repco Valiant Charger kit contents reveals one of the defining characteristics of TA71 engineering: how the model is designed as a system, not simply reproduced as a single printed object.

The quantity and definition of the components are only part of the equation.

A fundamental design choice is the use of separate, individually engineered components wherever the original vehicle architecture and the scale demand it.

Rather than integrating multiple details into a single body or oversized resin component, TA71 develops individual parts with defined interfaces, controlled geometry and precise assembly points.

This approach provides several advantages: greater dimensional fidelity, sharper detail definition, easier finishing and, above all, a much more controlled assembly process.

Small elements remain small elements. Structural components remain structural components. Functional and visual interfaces are designed independently and assembled with precision.

This is a significant difference from the conventional approach used across much of the hobby market, where complex assemblies are often simplified into large resin parts in order to reduce production complexity.

More than a year ago, we introduced our full line-up of Australian classics from the golden era of the 1970s.

Among them, the Valiant Charger has always been one of our favourites.

A deceptively restrained body hiding the character of a true Australian muscle car — revealed through subtle details, aggressive proportions and, ultimately, the extreme Repco versions presented here in both McCormack and Edmondson liveries.

But what really sets this model apart is what you don't notice at first glance.

This Porsche 917 Living Legend has been assembled and completed by Guillermo, starting from a TA71 1/32 scale kit.

From the raw engineered components to the finished model, every detail is designed to preserve the character, proportions and technical essence of the original.
