Looking fast on Friday.

🇪🇸 Jimmy Clairet set the pace in TCR World Tour practice at Valencia as ALM Motorsport drivers took the top three positions in the quicker FP2 session. Sten-Dorian Piirimagi was second overall with Jenson Brickey third in both sessions. Piirimagi was quickest of the TCR Spain runners on the day. Rene Povlsen was second in the TCR Spain Master class in both sessions with Demir Eroge third in FP2.

It’s been a fantastic start to the 2026 JAS Motorsport Driver Development Programme as our new recruits, TCR UK aces Jenson O’Neill-Going, Maximus Hall and Harry Bloor, TCR Italy race winner Ramiro Zago and rising karting star Finlay Lines all visited Arluno for two days of activities, training and workshops under the guidance of Programme Manager Andrei Draghici.

TWO WINS!

🇺🇸A last-lap pass by Karl Wittmer secured TCR victory 🏆 in the four-hour IMPC race at Mid-Ohio for himself and Montreal Motorsport Group team-mates LP Montour and Dai Yoshihara. Fellow Civic Type R TCR squad KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering led the first three-and-a-half hours before an alternator issue put pole sitter Rocco Pasquarella and Tim Lewis Jr out. HART (Chad Gilsinger/Tyler Chambers/Cameron Lawrence) were seventh while Pegram Racing (Riley Pegram/ Larry Pegram/Mario Farnbacher) did not finish.

🇫🇷 Auto Club RC2 Valles driver Michael Markussen took his first Tenerife Trophy victory 🏆 in TCR Europe Race 2 at Paul Ricard with team-mate Victor Fernandez fifth. ALM Motorsport's Ruben Volt was third in the Youth Trophy, a spot ahead of Squadra Martino’s Tiago Pernia. Volt’s team-mates Mike Halder and Max Hart came home outside the top 10.

🇵🇦 Rodrigo Pflücker scored his second win of the TCR Panama season in Race 3 at the Autodromo Panama. His Alpha Racing co-driver, Alberto Pinto, had qualified the car fifth, but not finished the opener. Pflucker was sixth in Race Two before triumphing in the finale.

PODIUM AND POLE!

🇫🇷 Squadra Martino’s Tiago Pernia scored a TCR Europe podium finish with third place in Race 1 at Paul Ricard. Pernia had finished right behind ALM Motorsport's Ruben Volt, but a penalty for the Estonian dropped him to sixth. Volt’s team-mate, Mike Halder, led before a puncture dropped him down the order while Auto Club RC2 Valles driver Victor Chan was third in the Tenerife Trophy. Felipe Fernandez (RC2) was 11th overall with Victor Fernandez and Michael Markussen well back after pitstops. JAS Supported Driver Max Hart (ALM) also pitted with a puncture.

🇺🇸 Rocco Pasquarella scored his second TCR pole position in IMPC qualifying at Mid-Ohio, topping the session in the KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering Civic Type R TCR he shares with Tim Lewis Jr. Montreal Motorsport Group’s Dai Yoshihara (Karl Wittmer/Louis Philippe Montour) was third with HART's Tyler Chambers (Chad Gilsinger/Cameron Lawrence) sixth and Pegram Racing’s Riley Pegram (Larry Pegram/Mario Farnbacher) 16th.

Up and running…

🇫🇷 Points leader Mike Halder was fourth quickest in the faster of today’s two TCR Europe practice sessions at Paul Ricard, while his ALM Motorsport team-mates, Ruben Volt and JAS Supported Driver Max Hart, were, respectively, seventh in the Youth Trophy and 15th overall in their best sessions. Squadra Martino’s Tiago Pernia was twice in the Youth top five while RC2’s Victor Fernandez was third in the new Tenerife Trophy on both occasions. His team-mates, Felipe Fernandez, Michael Markussen and Victor Chan took best results of seventh, 19th and 20th overall; Markussen and Chan taking fourth and fifth in the Tenerife rankings.

🇺🇸 Louis Philippe Montour put the Montreal Motorsport Group Civic Type R TCR he shares with Karl Wittmer and Dai Yoshihara third on the TCR timesheets in IMPC practice at Mid-Ohio. Tim Lewis Jr (Rocco Pasquarella) was right behind for KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering with Mario Farnbacher (Riley Pegram and Larry Pegram) fifth for Pegram Racing and Cameron Lawrence (Chad Gilsinger and Tyler Chambers) seventh for HART.

WINNERS!

Frederick Lee scored a Rookie class win 🏆 in TCR China at Ningbo. The Team TRC driver triumphed in Race 2 and also came home second overall. He won the first race on the road, but a penalty dropped him to third overall and second in Rookies. Team-mate William Cheung was fourth in the Rookie class in both races while Tommy Ku and Ying Kit Lau had best finishes off 12th and 10th in the same category. Spark Racing’s Yun Jie Zhou and MacPro Racing Team’s Siu Ming Man each had a third-place result in class in Race 2, Zhou in the Am category and Sun in Rookie. Diego Moran (ATE Racing by DM23) took a pair of top-10 overall finishes in ninth and eighth.

FIRST-TIME WINNER

🇮🇹 MM Motorsport’s Ramiro Zago scored his first overall TCR Italy win 🏆 in Race 2 at Vallelunga. The Argentinian also completed a clean sweep in the Rookie class and extended his category points lead. Team-mate Marco Pellegrini was third in the Master class.

🇹🇭 Piti Bhirombhakdi & Kantasak Kusiri recovered to finish second in the Pro class in Thailand Supercar GT3 Race 2 at Buriram in their Singha Motorsport Team Thailand NSX GT3 Evo 22. Kusiri suffered an opening-lap puncture after contact from a rival and had to pit for a new tyre, dropping to last in the process.
