The 30th edition of the Vernasca Silver Flag - the legendary hill climb from Castell’Arquato to Vernasca - celebrated Zagato’s performance heritage and design excellence with a very special class dedicated to the Alfa Romeo TZ lineage.
The spotlight was on the complete evolution of the Alfa Romeo Tubolare Zagato family, a journey spanning more than six decades of design innovation and engineering research.
For the first time, the Alfa Romeo TZ and TZ2 were brought together in a dynamic display alongside the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa (2010) and the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale (2012).
From the legendary "Coda Tronca" designs, featuring the Kamm tail concept developed by Professor Wunibald Kamm, to the contemporary interpretation embodied by the TZ3 Corsa and TZ3 Stradale, with their aluminium and carbon-fibre bodywork, each car reflects the same philosophy: lightweight construction for outstanding performance, the perfect balance of form and function, and timeless beauty.
Once again, the Vernasca Silver Flag proved to be the perfect stage to bring these icons back to the open road, their natural environment. The Fiat Abarth Zagato, Alfa Romeo SZ Coda Tonda, Fiat Siata 1250 and Alfa Romeo S.Z. (ES30) completed this exceptional celebration of Zagato's heritage.

The spirit of gentleman drivers came alive once again on the shores of Lake Garda.
The 54th International Zagato Car Club Meeting gathered 45 Zagato-bodied cars across the breathtaking hills, lakeside roads and historic towns of one of Italy’s most beautiful regions; a moving tribute to automotive passion and elegance.
Representing collaborations with some of the most distinguished automotive marques such as Alfa Romeo, Bristol, Fiat – Abarth, Lancia and Maserati, Zagato Car Club Members showcased the evolution of Zagato Bodyworks through the decades, revealing a remarkably consistent design language that continues to inspire current and future generations.
More than a gathering, this 54th edition was a true celebration of Italian culture, beauty, and craftsmanship, bringing some of the most legendary Zagato creations back where they belong: on the open road.
Luigi and Giovanna Alberotanza won the Regularity race trophy on board of their Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato 1.6!
Museo Nicolis hosted special visit of their unique collection of classic cars and motorbikes, confirming the passion and automotive excellence of the Verona district. Among them a very rare black Alfa Romeo RM Lusso Zagato (1926).

The enduring bond between Alfa Romeo, Zagato and the 1000 Miglia has been reaffirmed once again, with Zagato-bodied Alfa Romeos claiming the top two positions on the podium in the 2026 edition.
This year’s winning car was the 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport Spider Zagato, driven by Argentine siblings Juan Tonconogy and Margarita Tonconogy. For Juan, this marks his fourth victory at the Freccia Rossa, following his triumphs in 2013, 2016 and 2018, while it is the first overall win achieved together with his sister Margarita.

Finishing in second place, after an extraordinary streak of six consecutive victories, was the team of Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli in their ever-faithful 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Super Sport Spider Zagato.

More than 400 historic cars took part in this year edition, including a significant number of Zagato-bodied automobiles. Among them were the international crews of scuderia sports, who secured outstanding results: Shawn and Leia Till became the highest-placed American crew, finishing 20th overall aboard a 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Spider Zagato, while Swiss crew Axel Marx and Andreas Inderbitzi achieved 38th overall in a 1932 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Spider Brianza Zagato.

1000 Miglia once again proved to be a thrilling celebration of heritage, passion and endurance along the most beautiful roads of Italy.

At the Anantara Concorso Roma 2026, some of the most extraordinary Italian automobiles ever created gathered in the heart of Rome to celebrate La Dolce Vita on four wheels.
Among the standout Zagato iconic Pre-War models were the Alfa Romeos 6C 1750 Gran Sport Zagato (1929 and 1931) and the legendary Maserati V4 Sport Zagato (1932).
The post-war Zagato lineup featured the Alfa Romeo 1900 SSZ (1956), the Lancia Flaminia Sport “Sperimentale” (1959), the Lancia Flaminia Zagato Sport “Pre-Serie” (1959), the Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ “Coda Tronca” (1962), the Lancia Flaminia Sport Zagato (1964) and the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 (1966), each showcasing Zagato’s timeless design and obsession with lightness.
The ultimate honour, Best of Show, was awarded to the remarkable 1932 Maserati V4 Sport Zagato, owned by Lawrence Auriana - a unique sixteen-cylinder masterpiece that captivated judges and enthusiasts alike.
The car also claimed victory in the Pre-War Zagato class.
An unforgettable celebration of Italian excellence and heritage.

An Icon reborn where Design lives.

During Milano Design Week, the Porsche 356 Carrera GTL Zagato Sanction Lost made its appearance in the heart of Montenapoleone District, offering visitors a rare chance to encounter a legend revived.

This Design Sculpture stays true to its origins with a 356 B T5 chassis and a hand-beaten aluminum body conceived and shaped by Zagato.
Thanks to advanced photometric technologies, this three-time Le Mans, Nürburgring and Targa Florio class winner (1960, 1961, 1962) has been meticulously rebuilt in Milan by Atelier Zagato for its final Collector.

A seamless fusion of German engineering and Italian craftsmanship, where form follows function.
