In recent years there is a growing trend at TUPG towards admitting distinguished candidates by providing them with special facilities to enable the students to study in upstream engineering to hold the vacant posts in gas and oil industry. Also due to expanding gas and oil fields and enhancing recovery (and thus developing private sectors in these projects), at least 2000 engineers with Post-graduate degree and 150 in Ph.D degree are needed up to the end of fourth plan, and this is a promising future for those who are interested in progressing and developing Islamic Republic of Iran.
