Mohammed Hanief –CEO completely took over “NATIONAL CYCLE WORKS” and changed it to “HANIEF MOTORS”; wherein he ventured into many reputed companies like Escorts, Badal Spini automobiles- 3 wheeler and Montana- a 4 wheeler company. Soon enough with success and urge to thrive for more, companies like Onida, Kelvinator, Philips, and many more added on to the shelf space of Hanief Motors. In 1986, Birla Yamaha Generator sets got added on to the portfolio, wherein it was not just restricted to sales yet training and development came into the picture with respect to BSF, ITBF and other Army engineers. The continuous zeal to adhere better performance yielded him Number.1 Dealer for Northern India by Birla Yamaha and was requested by Late A.V BIRLA (then president of the Birla Group) for the demonstration of Snowmobiles to BSF in Gurez sector of J&K followed by presentations to the State Govt. in Bandipora- J&K having reputed chief guests including Mr.Farooq Abdullah (chief minister-J&K).
