Mahindra has introduced the XUV 3XO ZNG, a turbocharged CNG compact SUV that gets the same power and torque output in both CNG and petrol modes.

111 PS power and 200 Nm torque in both fuel modes

Claimed fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/kg

Mahindra beat Tata Motors by just 89 units to secure second place in India’s passenger vehicle retail sales rankings in September 2026, according to data released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). Mahindra recorded 57,343 units, up 38.93% year-on-year, while Tata Motors registered 57,254 units, marking a 28.66% increase compared with September 2025. However, Tata slipped from second place in August to third in September and was the only carmaker among the top 10 to report a month-on-month decline, with sales falling 1.02%. Mahindra also increased its market share to 13.42%, slightly ahead of Tata’s 13.40%, while Maruti Suzuki retained the top spot with 1,69,132 units.
