🔧 Experienced Automotive Technician — We’re Looking for You
Savannah Autoworx is growing our team, and we’re looking for an experienced automotive technician who knows how to diagnose a problem—not just replace a part and hope for the best.

We’re a family-owned and operated independent shop in Savannah, working primarily on domestic and Asian-import vehicles.

If you’re the kind of technician who enjoys figuring out why something isn’t working, takes pride in doing the job right, and appreciates working with people who respect your experience and judgment, we’d like to talk.

What you can expect at Savannah Autoworx:
💰 $21–$26/hour base pay + tiered compensation for labor hours performed
💳 Weekly electronic direct deposit
🕣 Monday–Friday, 8:30–5:30
🔧 Professional diagnostic scan tools, diagnostic software, service information and manufacturer wiring diagrams
🛠️ Specialty tools available when you need them—including expensive tools that don’t make sense for every technician to own individually

We’re not hung up on a specific number of years of experience.
We care about whether you can think through a diagnostic problem, use the resources available to you, make good decisions and take pride in the repair you put your name on.

You’ll have autonomy to diagnose and repair vehicles, but you’re never expected to work in a vacuum. Our owners and service advisors collaborate with technicians on estimates, customer communication and parts research so you can focus on what you do best.

We’re also pretty reasonable about how people work. We know experienced technicians have their own systems for staying organized. If your system works and doesn’t negatively affect your coworkers, customers or the shop, we’re good with it.

We’re a family business, and we try to treat our customers—and our employees—the same way we’d want our own family treated.

When your tires lose contact with the road surface, you can hydroplane and lose control of your vehicle. If this happens, don't hit the brakes. Instead, take your foot off the accelerator and let the car slow down gradually. Here are some other tips to help keep you safe:
Inspect your tires. If your tread isn't very thick, surface is smooth or the gap between tread rows isn't very deep, you are more likely to lose contact with the road during rainy conditions or when you hit puddles or standing water.
Slow down! The faster you go, the less water your tires can scatter away.
Avoid driving in the outer lane where water is more likely to collect, and when possible, try to follow the tire path of the vehicle in front of you.
Avoid driving through large puddles or areas with standing water. If unavoidable, slow down and maintain a steady speed
Avoid turning quickly or hard braking.

In the past year, we’ve had several customers experience major expenses from flood and water damage. This article offers some helpful information about how insurance coverage works when it comes to water damage.

And another tip…if you have a sunroof, there are drain tubes to exit water away from the sunroof seal. These tube can clog, especially if you park outside regularly. Consider having your drains snaked to make sure only sun rays come in, not water.
