Volkswagen introduced the all-new sixth-generation Polo at a special event which was held in Berlin, Germany on June 16. The new 2018 Polo will go on sale in most European countries along with the Latin American markets and China this year but sadly not in India till mid of 2018. Even if launched in India there are possibilities its actual dimensions will be changed to suit sub 4 meter category to save on taxes in India.

New Polo will be based on VW's MQB platform & will be offered in below engine options:
Petrol: 1.0-litre MPI in two states of tune (65PS and 75PS), 1.0-litre TSI in two states of tune (95PS and 115PS), VW’s all new 1.5-litre TSI EVO (150PS) with ACT (active cylinder deactivation) and 2.0-litre TSI (200PS) which will be limited to the Polo GTI
Diesel: 1.6-litre TDI in two states of tune (80PS and 95PS)
CNG: 1.0-litre TGI (90PS)

With so much going on about BS 4 ,here are some basics you must know :

What’s most important in the BS4 norm is the stricter limit of exhaust gas emission, vehicle noise emission and evaporative emission. In detail, BS4 demands lower release of air pollutants (oxides of nitrogen (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), and particulate matters (PM)), lower decibel levels of idle and pass by noise, and lower release of fuel vapour into the atmosphere. BS3 did set an upper limit for fuel vapour leak, but BS4 demands the EVAP canister be installed for almost nil leak. So it’s not just about the extra layer of coating of palladium and platinum (and the like) on the catalytic converter, and the larger volume of the same, it is about so many other kinds of emission.

WINTER CARE TIPS :
You should already be doing this several times during the biking season. But it’s especially important to spray chain l**e onto the chain and into all pivot points (brake and clutch levers, kickstand, fold-up foot pegs, etc.) before storing your bike for the winter. That’ll keep rust from forming on the parts during the winter.

Winter TIPS :
Combustion gases collect in your oil and form acid. You don’t want that acid sitting in your crankcase all winter eating away at bearings and other expensive parts. So even if you’ve recently changed it, you need to change it again for winter storage. Yes, it’s that important !
