Honda has launched the ZR-V flagship SUV at an introductory price of Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it the most expensive model in the Japanese carmaker’s lineup for India currently. Here are some quick facts:

▪️ Imported from Japan as a CBU.
▪️ Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder direct-injection petrol engine working in tandem with two electric motors
▪️ Combined power output of 185hp and 315Nm
▪️ 0-100kph in 7.9 seconds (claimed); 172kph electronically limited top speed
▪️ Gets a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.8kpl
▪️ Sold only in one fully loaded variant

Honda ZR-V lands in India and here’s our review.

It’s been a while for a new Honda in India. Somewhere along the way, Honda India decided that premium cars like the Accord and CR-V had no place in the Indian market. Weak demand certainly contributed to that decision, but thankfully Honda is revisiting the strategy with a slightly different approach.

Will it find buyers in the ₹45-55 lakh bracket amidst rivals like the VW Tiguan R-Line and Skoda Kodiaq? Only time will tell.
