When this guy comes to visit, there’s only one way to show him a good time.
Chennai has some of the gnarliest trails hiding in plain sight. Blocked off but thorny bushes and overgrowth, if you can deal with the thorns in your side (quite literally) look beyond that big bush the next time you’re on a back road. Or go ride with .adventures and they’ll take you around, but google maps definitely ain’t showing you any of it.

This one has been a long time coming. This project started about 15 years ago, and was always shelved because there was one part missing and another that was unobtanium and another that just didn’t match what I needed. Well it’s here now. The engine is boxed up, the bend pipes are coming together and the rest of it is being mocked up as we go along. Can’t wait to fire it up!

Put some miles on the Beemer and pulled the plugs for a chop. Perfectly tanned and not much else to report.

We’ve had a lot of our existing trails fenced off by the authorities here in Chennai because of irresponsible exploration and obnoxious tourism. It’s really a shame for those of us who explore responsibly. Well, the only thing to do then, is to explore, discover and see if the squigglies on the map can actually be ridden.

One of the rarest motorcycles in India came my way, and there was no other way to restore it. Except like it rolled off the factory floor in 1964. This is the Honda CZ100. Hand built in the Honda factory by 5 Japanese workers, they assembled 20 cz100s a day. We took about 2 years to collect parts and restore this specimen.
