A Cooper S was transformed into the Red Mudder, complete with all-terrain tyres, rally lights, and a raised stance.

Found my new crush. Red, topless, and handles like a dream! Like a go-kart that grew up and got gorgeous. The Mini Cooper convertible, two litre engine, 204 horses, 0-100 in 6.9 seconds, and a roof that disappears in 18 seconds flat, even while you’re driving.

Spent the morning with the roof down and the city rushing past, and the Mini Cooper made even the traffic feel like a party. Which fits, because the party is built in, that big round screen doubles as a gaming console for every minute you’re parked, go full DJ mode to turns the drive into your own soundtrack, and a little ‘always open’ timer that counts every minute you’ve spent topless. Yes, the car keeps score. The convoy was great company, but honestly, I only had eyes for the car.

MINI doesn’t make the most luxurious car on the road, they make the one you can’t stop smiling in.
