Techfest Automotive Challenge IITB Techfest brings you the challenge to showcase your skills as an engineer.

Hybrid cars, using two or more sources of power are on way to engage the population with much more ease of usage and also to reduce the usage of conventional energy sources. Design an integrated motor and transmission system (with controller) for a hybrid car for the future. For a hybrid car to be reliable, a robust motor and the transmission design are the key requirements. Innovative design with

out infringement of existing design patents is the requirement of the day. Design of Switched reluctance motor (SRM) motor with controller, planetary gearbox with controllers is hi-tech, low cost and suitable for the modern population. Students may take this idea forward and do a detailed engineering design suitable for automotive or come up with any other idea with mechanical, electrical equipment design and their controllers.
