Illegal Bike Modifications That Can Get You Fined! 🚨
Aftermarket loud exhausts and flashy colour changing LED lights are now officially considered illegal. Loud exhausts increase both noise pollution and emissions, while bright colour changing LEDs distract other riders and raise the risk of accidents. The rule mainly targets people who change their bike or car from its original condition just for show, and traffic police are now specifically checking for these modifications.

Rear Seatbelt Alarm Is Now Mandatory! 🚨
Newer cars now come with an audio visual seatbelt reminder for the rear seats too, not just the front. Every seat has a sensor that checks whether the belt is fastened, and if it isn't, an icon lights up on the dashboard with a continuous beep. The change was pushed seriously after a high profile accident where a rear passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. In several cities, AI traffic cameras now check rear seat belts through the windshield too, and the challan lands straight on your phone.

Skoda Superb Diesel Is Back After Years! 🚗💥

The Skoda Superb diesel is coming back to India in the first half of 2027, the first Volkswagen Group diesel here since 2020. The 2.0 litre TDI makes 148 bhp and 360 Nm, and the AWD version goes up to 190 bhp and 400 Nm. Expected price is around 50 lakh through CBU import, with the Toyota Camry firmly in its sights.

India's crash test system is about to change completely. 🛡️🚗

Bharat NCAP 2.0 has been announced and will come into effect from October 2027. The 100 point score covers crash protection , pedestrian and road user safety , safe driving features , accident avoidance tech and post crash safety . So it is no longer just about surviving a crash, but also about avoiding one and getting help quickly afterwards. It is still at draft stage, so the final version is some way off.
