Strengthening Tourism Through Collaboration | BTM 2027
A memorable day for the tourism fraternity!
On 26 August 2026 at Mainak, Siliguri, a historic MoU was signed between the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Bhutan (HRAB) and EHTTOA, marking an important step towards strengthening India–Bhutan tourism cooperation and cross-border tourism across India, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
The presence of our most respected and beloved Tourism Minister, Dr Shankar Ghosh, added a very special warmth and significance to the entire occasion. His encouraging words, valuable insights and constant support truly inspired us and gave us renewed energy and confidence to move forward together.
The occasion also witnessed the official launch of the 10th Edition of Bengal Travel Mart (BTM) 2027, EHTTOA’s flagship tourism platform, to be held from 7–9 January 2027 at The Cinderella Hotel, Siliguri.
With 150+ national & international buyers, 180+ exhibitors, B2B meetings, international participation, leading hospitality stakeholders and the Eastern Himalaya Travel Awards, BTM 2027 is set to create new opportunities for tourism businesses and destinations across the region.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Debashis Maitra, President, EHTTOA, and Mr. Sandipan Ghosh, Secretary, EHTTOA & Chairman, BTM, for their leadership and vision.
