Two stroke diesel engine:

A two stroke diesel engine is an engine that uses compression ignition in a two stroke combustion cycle.

A two-stroke engine is a type of internal combustion engine that completes a power cycle with two strokes (up and down movements) of the piston during one power cycle, this power cycle being completed in one revolution of the Crankshaft.

Working of a two stroke petrol engine:

Upward stroke:
In this stroke, the piston moves from B.D.C to TDC. and the piston pressurizes the upward air causing compression and raising the temperature of the mixture.
Simultaneously the inlet port opens at the bottom of the piston and atmospheric pressure air is pumped into the crankcase. i.e., there is compression above the piston and suction at the bottom.

Downward Stroke:
In this stroke fuel is injected by the injector at the end of the compression, and the piston more from TDC to BDC.

The image displays the key parts of a turbocharger and their respective functions:

Compressor wheel: This component compresses the incoming air before it enters the engine's intake manifold, increasing the air density for more efficient combustion.

Turbine wheel: Driven by the exhaust gases exiting the engine, the turbine wheel converts the kinetic energy of these gases into mechanical energy to spin the compressor wheel.

Intercooler: Positioned between the compressor and the engine, the intercooler cools the compressed air from the compressor wheel, making it even denser and further improving combustion efficiency.

Wastegate: This valve controls the amount of exhaust gas that flows through the turbine, thereby regulating the boost pressure produced by the turbocharger to prevent over-boosting and protect the engine.

Components of a hydraulic clutch and assembly.

1. Clutch Pedal: The driver-operated lever inside the vehicle, used to engage or disengage the clutch.
When it gets pressed, it activates the master cylinder to transmit hydraulic pressure to the clutch system.

2. Master Cylinder: A hydraulic piston-cylinder device connected to the clutch pedal.
It converts the mechanical force from the clutch pedal into hydraulic pressure by pushing brake fluid through the hydraulic lines.

3. Hydraulic Fluid (Brake Fluid): A special non-compressible liquid used in the system (usually DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid).
It transfers force from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder.

4. Hydraulic Line (Pipe or Hose): A high-pressure tube or hose that connects the master cylinder to the slave cylinder.
It carries the hydraulic fluid under pressure to the slave cylinder.

5. Slave Cylinder: Another piston-cylinder unit located near the clutch release mechanism.
It receives hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder and moves the pushrod to disengage the clutch.

6. Release Fork (Clutch Fork): A lever that connects the slave cylinder pushrod to the release bearing.
It moves the release bearing towards the pressure plate to disengage the clutch.

7. Release Bearing (Throw-Out Bearing): A bearing that presses against the diaphragm spring of the pressure plate.
It allows smooth contact and reduces friction between the spinning clutch and the stationary release fork.

8. Clutch Pressure Plate: A spring-loaded plate that holds the clutch disc against the flywheel.
It applies pressure to the clutch disc to engage power from the engine to the transmission.

9. Clutch Disc (Friction Disc):- A friction-coated plate mounted between the flywheel and pressure plate.
It transmits engine power to the transmission input shaft when engaged.

10. Flywheel:- A heavy steel disc attached to the engine crankshaft.
It provides a mounting surface for the clutch disc and helps in smoothing engine vibrations.
