आग क्यू लगती बैटरी में है?
फट (blast) क्यों जाती है बैटरियां??
कैसे बचें?
UPS मे लगी हुई Batteries लगभग ज़िंदा Hydrogen Bomb ही होती है, ज़रा सी चूक भारी नुकसान कर सकती है!!
बैटरी में आग लगने के सम्भव कारण ये हो सकते है:
1. Improper Installation and commissioning (Install the btys in a Dry, Cool, Dust free environ with firm footing and Rack duly insulated, no loose wires should be there in the room/area, The Battery Room must be well ventilated)
2. Loose Battery Connections might lead to sparking and fire (tighten the terminal connections properly)
3. Chocked Vents might lead to Blockage of Excessive fumes from venting out, building up the internal pressure leading to Bulging or even blast (Keep the Battery Surface Dust free, keep it clean, it can be cleaned using dry cotton cloth)
4. Over charging (Keep The UPS in good condition & Set the Voltage and Charging Current as per the manufacturer's recommendation)
5 Battery Under sizing :
अक्सर user के दबाव में आकर supplier बैटरी छोटी दे देते है जब यूजर कहे कि हमे तो सिर्फ 3-4 minute के लिए ही चाहिए बैटरी, फिर हमारा DG on हो जाता है, आर्डर लेने और L1 आने के चक्कर मे Under Size बैटरी दे देते है supplier, ऐसा कभी भी ना करे, जब आप 20 घण्टे में डिस्चार्ज के Design हिसाब से बनी बैटरी को 5 मिनट में निचोड़ोगे तो बैटरी के अंदर भयानक केमिकल reaction होगा और गर्म होकर फटने के चांस खतरनाक स्तर पर पहुंच जाते है।।
वैसे भी अगर manufacturer को मालूम चल जाये की बैटरी 10 minute से कम पर design करके सप्लाई करी गयी है तो Warranty Null n Void कर दी जाती है
बैटरी कम से कम 10 मिनट Load support करे वो ले, इस से कम किसी बी हालात में ना ले अन्यथा बैटरी का देर सवेर फटना तय है
6. Container Damage/Hair Line Fracture /Seepage :
कई मर्तबा Transportation अथवा Battery Stacking at site के वक़्त बैटरी का container हल्का सा टूट फुट सकता है, Electrolyte अगर leakage दिखे तो उस बैटरी को कतई connect ना करे
बैटरी room कोशिश करे अलग से (separate) हो जहां कोई और equipment ना हो
Battery Room में AC ना लगा सके तो भी बैटरी रूम का temperature कम रखे, ज्यादा Temp पर battery की लाइफ काफी कम हो जाती है
Ideal Condition में बैटरी हर 3 से 4 साल में बदल दी जानी चाहिए
Timely Preventive Maintenance से बैटरी दुर्घटना से बचा जा सकता है और बैटरी की लाइफ भी बढाई जा सकती है
Generator Set को Auto Mode में रखे
Battery को Discharged Mode में ना रखे
Terminals पर petroleum Jelly ज़रूर लगावे
