Its a great day indeed to record & produce the entire production for the eminent bharathyanatyam teacher Smt. Manjula Ramaswamy. What a stalwart she is,no doubt that she produces hundreds of students in her tutelage.

In pic along with her is Maheswari, a dedicated student who is learning barathyanatyam from age 4 till now (3rd year ug), what a sharp student with enormous memory and utmost discipline towards her guru.

Last but not the least, and the most exciting part as we mentioned in our last post, now Cognitive Audio Labs is proud of having one of the finest engineer and musician, a very close friend and a great human Praveen kumar. He is a fantastic engineer with exceptional skills in recording art and mix & mastering the audio, worked on 100s of albums. Very happy in welcoming him and having him to head the studio.

Cognitive Audio Labs has once more started to record outside projects after a brief pause due to other internal projects that was happening for a while. Its time to create good music and sound once again. Keep an eye for the exciting updates that has kick started once again.

Worked with legends in the industry, and more importantly there is a great addition to the family of cognitive audio labs which excites us more than everything.

Had an amazing session for composer Selvin Bright who sang with soul.he is like a tube microphone,he gets better and better as time flies and songs pass.its a must mention about Solomon Nesaraj, a fantastic musician who has nailed the arrangements and harmonies for the entire track. its very rare we enjoy the recording sessions to the core, which makes us tireless in the process. its such a great recording i must mention. tried Shure SM7B, and Levitt LCT 940 for the main vocals and backing vocals. with neve 5012. a great session in deed to remember.

Had a fantastic session recording percussions for composer Anandh Kumar played by very talented Living Ston Amul John, recorded cajons and djembe. The telefunken mics are the blessings for any percussion instrument,its just awesome. Had an interesting combination of mics of telefunken drum kit mics with electro voice RE 20 & earthworks qtc30k. Just fantastic sound with neve 5012 and Manley core stereo.
