Ferrari 488 GTB , California T Recalled for Fire Risk

Ferrari's newest forced-induction models , the California T and 488 GTB , are already subject to a recall . The 2016 Ferrari California T and 488 GTB are being recalled because their boosted engines may catch fire .
According to Ferrari , a manufacturing defect with the low-pressure fuel line that feeds the cars 3.9-liter twin-turbo V-8 means it could leak at a connection with the fuel-pump feed, potentially causing a fire . Ferrari says the issue affects 304 American-specs cars . The problem was before any 488 GTBs with the problem were sold to U.S. customers , so there's currently a stop-stale order until the 488 GTBs can be repaired with a new fuel-system part .

2016 Chevrolet Trax Adds Blacked-Out Midnight Edition

Blacked-Out trim packages are all the rage , and the 2016 Chevrolet Trax crossover is the latest member of the club with its new Midnight Edition.
As we've come to expect from the Chevrolet Colorado , Silverado , and Impala Midnight Edition models , the Trax has an all-back exterior , with black trim for the wheels , door handles , and various other trim pieces . The interior features a grey color scheme for the seats and floor mats , and is otherwise unchanged from the top-trim Trax LTZ it's based on . That means all midnight edition crossovers come standard with features like fog lights , leatherette seats , a Bose audio system , and 4G LTE wi-fi connectivity .

Next month's Mecum Auctions in Kissimmee , Fla. will feature 31 Hemi-powered Mopars , but two very special and rare vehicles are expected to sell for millions - a 1970 and 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda convertible.
The 1970 Hemi 'Cuda convertible is expect to fetch the most at an estimated $3.5 million . This 'Cuda , featuring Lemon Twist paint with a black interior , only has 27,500 miles on its odometer . Its 426 - cubic - inch Hemi V-8 is pired to a four-speed manual gearbox. Other options include the Super Track Pak , the Shaker Hood , Radio Group package , power convertible top , Rallye instrument cluster , and a tachometer . Only 14 Hemi - powered 'Cuda convertibles were produced that year , and just five featured the four - speed .

BMW Australia has announced that it will throw its hat back into the ring of domestic Motorsport , but rather than aim for glory in the V8 supercars series the German marque has set its sights on the Australian GT championship instead .
And rather than an M3 , M4 or Z4 , it'll be BMW's M6 GT3 lining up on the GT grid at the second round of the sprint program at the Melbourne grand Prix on March 17.

This copious power allows the new NSX to crack off 0-60 mph in a scant 3.0 seconds .

the invention of the air bag has been hugely important event in the history of the automobile . Countless lives have been saved by the successful implementation of the air bags and as a result , the current industry trend involves fitting the safety system on any and every car , no matter what it's size or segment .
As explained by ZF , centre airbags have 2 variations . The first is an interaction air bag that is fitted into the driver front seat back , facing the inner side of the vehicle .This helps in minimizing occupant interaction between the driver and passenger in the event of a crash by limiting horizontal displacement . The second variant is called the far-side airbag which helps keeping the occupant in position and helps prevent occupants from pin-balling within the vehicle.
