Apart from the environmental pollution it creates 1 litre of ethanol needs 10000 litres of water to be produced. I will explain technically what will happen if E20 petrol is used in non E20 vehichle/old vehicle. Generally 14.7 kg of air with 1 kg of pure petrol makes stoichiometry state( perfect Air/ fuel mixture state) it is then compressed in Engine cylinder by piston, and spark will make it to burn and vehichle works. Vehichle burning area, compression, fuel injector are designed for pure petrol keeping in view of pure petrol density, octane rating. This whole work will designed by manufature. Now when E20 petrol is used in non E20 vehichle it results in Non stoichiometry mixture( Not designed Air/fuel mixtue by manufature), so this E20 fuel when burnt in cylinder burning area, which is filled with petrol molecules and Ethanol molecules. Area where petrol molecules present undergo perfect combustion and area where Ethanol molecules present will not undergo total combustion because the vehicle cylinder, compression is not designed for Ethanol. So petrol molecules area produce more forces, and Ethanol molecules area present less forces on cylinder head. As a rule of thumb pressure moves from high pressure area to low pressure area, pressure above cylinder head after combustion moves from high pressure area to low pressure area. If pressure is uniform all the area above piston head, then piston moves vertically without any moving to Horizontally. But when E20 burns due to uneven/ difference of pressures on piston moves vertically and Horizontally also. This cause excessive vibration on crank bearing and uneven wear of piston rings. So compression will not form as desired on piston head, due to excessive play in crank bearing, which has caused due to Horizontal forces on piston. Formed compression will also leaks through worn out piston rings in to crank case. Now rider of bike experience low power and gives more accelarator/ throttle which will results in more fuel consumption. This causes drop in fuel economy. It will become more worse if vehichles are having already compression issues due to age of vehicle and wear and tear. Same time fuel injector starts problem, because they are pumping fuel which is having more density than its designed. So some time after fuel pump will gives trouble. Due to leak of compression and air/ fuel mixture through worn piston rings into crankcase, Engine oil will become adualtered or mix with fuel, in which Engine oil losts its lubrication properties and vehichle wear tear increases. Let say if a engine oil has to protect engine for 8000 kms, it will protect engine for 4000 kms only, why because it mixes with leaking fuel through piston rings and lost its property in 4000 kms only. But owner did not aware of this and will run the vehicle up to 8000 kms. So Engine is running in this 4000 kms without proper/ any lubrication and results in early/ immediate wear and tare. Finally vehicle broke down due to various issues which are due to adualtered fuel, low compression, adualtered engine oil. Repairing bills will become huge and after repair also since the vehicle is designed for pure petrol, again destruction cycle starts and vehichle will broke down in near future and again repairs. This cycle continues, and solution is to get pure 100% petrol to old/ Non E20 compatible vehiches or upgrade to E20 compatible vehiches. I think i have explained in simple language not going to complicated obrevations. I was expecting governement to respond responsibly and pull out ethanol blending or atleast keep it at 10% was not expecting governement to stoop so low and produce fake vs myth ai made fake claims. Look at this one for example , even a child could say this is a blunt lie by government.
