The new limited edition Royal Enfield Classic 500, called the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition pays homage to one of the most famous Royal Enfieldmotorcycles used in World War II. The RE Pegasus Edition pays homage to the two-stroke RE/WD 125 motorcycle, popularly called the 'Flying Flea', used by British paratroopers in World War II, and manufactured at Royal Enfield's underground facility in Westwood, UK. The RE Pegasus is conceived as a tribute to the Flying Flea and Royal Enfield's military heritage.

The lightweight RE/WD 125 motorcycles were air-dropped from aircraft during the war, and used extensively by the then newly formed Parachute Regiment. The Flying Flea bikes were dropped by parachute, encased in a protective steel cradle or carried in Horsa assault gliders. On the ground, the bikes were used for reconnaissance, communications and carrying soldiers into battle.

The RE Classic 500 Pegasus is a limited edition model of the Royal Enfield Classic 500. Only 1,000 units will be built and 250 will be sold in India. The rest of the bikes will be sold in the UK, Australia and the US.

The Classic 500 Pegasus Edition will be available in two colours - Service Brown and Olive Drab Green. In India though, only the Service Brown shade will be available on sale. Each limited edition motorcycle will carry a unique serial number stencilled on the fuel tank, just like the motorcycles used in World War II carried the numbers of the regiment they represented.

https://www.facebook.com/Royal-Enfield-Riders-Club-Changaramkulam-RERCC-394048844100179/

Each bike will wear the Pegasus emblem - the official Parachute Regiment insignia, and come with a pair of unique canvas panniers, like the ones used by despatch riders in the war, also bearing the Pegasus logo. Each motorcycle will also have authentic markings of military motorcycles, including brown handlebar grips, a leather strap with a brass buckle across the air filter, blacked out silencers, rims, kickstart lever, pedals and headlight bezel to complete the period look.

The Royal Enfield Pegasus Edition shares the same engine with the Royal Enfield Classic 500. The 499 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine makes 27.2 bhp of power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The chassis, brakes and tyres remain the same as the Classic 500, and the bike has a kerb weight of 194 kg.

Prices for the Indian edition are yet to be announced, but we expect the Classic 500 Pegasus to be priced just above Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can also buy a range of genuine motorcycle accessories that are compatible with the period look of the motorcycle.

Royal Enfield KX | Great Britain 🇬🇧, 1941.

“The last word in luxury motorcycles!” — this was the advertising slogan for the Royal Enfield KX in its 1938 brochure. The flagship motorcycle of this company had a powerful twin-cylinder, L-head, 1140-cc engine, a dry sump lubrication system and a 4-speed manual gearbox, which made it possible to comfortably ride this motorcycle both with and without a sidecar.

This Royal Enfield Classic 350 came from Warangal, Telangana. Café Racers have their own charm and elegance, at the same time have their aesthetic restrictions and limitations. Our client wanted this bike to have an old school traditional café racer look, with a flatbed seat, bigger tank, big block tyres, and smaller headlight.

We have maintained the 19 and 18 wheel configuration. The mudguard arrangement has been changed unlike the Classic. There are front fork gators. The headlight is a yellow glass smaller one. The taillight and indicators are changed. As the headlight casing has been removed we have made an arrangement for speedometer and ammeter. We have used Natural Rubber handle grips. Black mirrors and a crash guard has also been fitted (which were put after the photoshoot). The tank is a customized café racer tank with a push cap. The air filter arrangement looks different from outside but technically is has not been disturbed, keeping in mind the long term maintenance point of view. We have used a Megaphone exhaust with heat wrap on the bent pipe. The seat is a flatbed café racer type seat. And the seat frame is made out of a single piece of pipe which gives the seat strength and stability. At the bottom of the seat one will notice a perforated metal sheet. That fills the gap and brings a continuity. What catches your eye is the color combination. It is a very unusual color combination, especially going for a matching green seat cover was an audacious and outrageous decision!!

This is surely going to the owners pride and envy of many and Green is the color of Envy.

*Royal Enfield Himalayan Off-Road Edition Unveiled*

2018 Bangkok Motor Show got an added pinch of excitement when Royal Enfield Himalayan Off-Road Edition was unveiled by the retro-modern cruiser maker. They are planning to expand globally at a faster rate and Thailand is an important two wheeler market among other South Asian nations.

https://www.facebook.com/Royal-Enfield-Riders-Club-Changaramkulam-RERCC-394048844100179/

Every market has a different requirement and thus, they regularly come up with innovative concepts that could help them build market presence in an easy manner. This typical Dirt Racer concept has lost lot of weight from its body. Royal Enfield has shaved off some important parts, making this Himalayan limited to non public roads only.

https://www.facebook.com/Royal-Enfield-Riders-Club-Changaramkulam-RERCC-394048844100179/

Front loses the visor and headlight setup. They have compensated the loss with a race style plastic shield for professional front fascia. Tyres at both ends are totally compliant with dirt racing terrains while disc brakes were kept standard for enough braking bite.

https://www.facebook.com/Royal-Enfield-Riders-Club-Changaramkulam-RERCC-394048844100179/

Other components that went missing were fuel tank protectors, front lower fender, tail section (including light and pillion seat) and its rear grab rail. Royal Enfield Himalayan Off Road Edition is seen with custom, high mounted exhaust system. Handlebar seen here is also almost straight with knuckle protectors for added protection during rough rides.

https://www.facebook.com/Royal-Enfield-Riders-Club-Changaramkulam-RERCC-394048844100179/

Royal Enfield Himalayan is available with a single cylinder, 411cc air cooled and fuel injected engine producing 24.5 BHP and 32 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This typical motorcycle here has lost a lot of weight and thus, acceleration would have gone up by a considerable margin.

https://www.facebook.com/Royal-Enfield-Riders-Club-Changaramkulam-RERCC-394048844100179/

The free flow exhaust will further help Royal Enfield enjoy impressive levels of acceleration on rough surfaces. They may not bring an actual dirt specific Himalayan as this motorcycle is not a popular selling model like Classic or Bullet series. Even the Sleet version took lot more time to get sold out in Indian market.
