SKODA launched OCTAVIA in 2002and hit the market but this time Czech launch facelift of OCTAVIA with more refreshed look, better handling, better performance and ample features. This time OCTAVIA impress you with panoramic electric sun roof, smart phone integration, ambient lighting, hand free parking, iBuzz fatigue alert and lot more which feels you cooler appearance when you seat inside. As per safety concern 4 Airbags at basic variant and 8 Airbags at top variant, as we talk about the top variant it is equipped with ample features, and if you hungry for power than OCTAVIA RS full fill your need.. EXTERIOR –
OCTAVIA facelift have new look, new design, have split front halogen head lamp with crystal glow LED DRL (Day time Running Light) with corner fog light looks great. Wide body colour bumper makes it muscular, fronts gets glossy butterfly grills around which silver chrome is wrapped. Black cladding at the bottom give classy appearance. On the top variant electronic operated panoramic sunroof so you can enjoy the weather. Side wind screen is finely chromed and 16 inch velorum wheel looks great on the road & ground clearance is around 141 mm. Look at that the back portion is finely integrated have unique character with timeless style with LED tail lamp and trunk spoiler feel premium in class. Rear defogger is also equipped.
INTERIOR-
As we move inside 8 inch wide infotainment system with Mirror link, android auto and apple car play. Touch works well and have inbuilt navigation as well. Wood design decor on the front centre console and door panel which refresh your mood. Dual tone automatic climate control, ten colour integrated lighting make it lavish inside the cabin. Three spoke steer wheel is adjusted according to your comfort which is wrapped with leather, and equipped with multifunction. Ivory colour Leather upholstery seats are much softer and give proper support to thigh, back and shoulder. Driver seat with three programmable memory functions and it can adjust in 12 ways which we can operate with the help of remote also. There is ample of storage area for front as well as for the back passenger. For rear passenger there is enough leg and head room have rear AC vent and 2 USB charging point as well. Automatically dimming interior rear view mirror. Boot space is around 590 litres which is well enough to keep your luggage and rear seat is also foldable so you can increase the luggage room in which boot lamp is also there for improve visibility.
ENGINE-
OCTAVIA have same engine as earlier one and available in three option which is 1.4 litres, 1.8 litres petrol engine and 2.0 litres diesel engine. Both are available in both automatic and manual transmission. Diesel engine has turbocharger which can increase it power as well as fuel economy.
• 1.4 litres Petrol Engine – Inline 4 cylinder petrol engine with 6 speed gear box with tiptronic manual changing gear generate 110 kw of power at 4000-5000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque at 1500-3500 rpm. Its mileage is around 16.70 kmpl.
• 1.8 litres Petrol engine – Inline 4 cylinder petrol engine with 6 speed gear box with DSG tiptronic manual & automatic changing gear generate 132 kw of power at 5100-6200 rpm and 250 Nm of torque at 1250-5000 rpm. Its mileage is around 15.10 kmpl
• 2.0 Litres Diesel Engine - – Inline 4 cylinder petrol engine with 6 speed gear box with DSG tiptronic manual & automatic changing gear generate 105 kw at 3500-4000 rpm of power and 320 Nm of torque at 1750-3000 rpm. Its mileage is around 19.30 kmpl
Engine is well well refined which provide you great power and torque so you can fill your hunger. Handing is quite superior in this segment. Gear k**b, clutch paddle, brake paddle, acceleration are quite crispy so you never feel laggy at highways and city traffic. At the corner it is good thanks to its chassis and tyres which can hold you tight even at higher speed. Cruise control mode is also there so you can drive comfortably on highway without engaging your foots on pedals. Top speed register 220 kmpl and it take only 8 seconds to reach from 0 to 100 kmph.
SAFETY –
As per safety concern OCATVIA play a vital role, in the basic variant 4 Airbags and at top there is 8 Airbags that is side, front and curtain airbags for front and rear passenger which is well enough as compare to other cars in this segment. Octavia offer you ABS (Antilock Braking system), EBD (Electronic Force Distribution), Traction control, Corner stability control, Electronic Stability Control and many more so machine allow you to steer, braking, slip resistance at a same time.
