Due to rapid growth in the last year, a vacancy has arisen at VASS AUTOS for a Diagnostic Technician in our busy workshop. We are a Volkswagen, Audi & Skoda specialist in south Wicklow.

Diagnostic Technician:
•Ideally VW / Audi / Skoda main dealer experience.
•Good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.
•Be able to read wiring diagrams and work with them.
•Must be able to diagnose electrical faults and repair.
•Have experience using diagnostic test equipment.

The ideal candidate should be:
•Fully qualified.
•Have 3-4 years post apprenticeship experience.
•A Full clean driving licence is essential.
•Must have a good positive attitude and capable of working under pressure.
•Must be capable of working on their own initiative and completing work to a high standard.
•Responsible for guiding apprentices and showing them best practices.
•Capable of maintaining a clean and neat workspace.
•Candidate must have an interest in working on EV and Hybrid vehicles, training will be provided.

Excellent salary for the right candidate with flexible working hours or shift work available.

REQUIREMENTS WHILE TRAINING:
• A positive work attitude and a willingness to learn and take direction.
•Excellent time management skills.
•Be motivated and energetic.
•Have a full clean driving licence.
•Be able to work to high standards
• Must be able to work as part of a team and on their own.

MAIN OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To carry out service and repair work to a high standard.
• To make written reports on service and repair activity.
• To maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
• To contribute to good team spirit and the achievement of the business objectives.
• To take care of garage equipment and tools.
