Road Closures Wicklow Town:
Wicklow County Council hereby gives notice of the temporary closure of the following public road.

This road closure is necessary to facilitate the Harbourman Triathlon 2026

📍 Port Road (R999)
from the junction of the R750 to a section of Leitrim Place at the zebra crossing.

🕛️ Sunday the 28th June, 2026 from 09.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. inclusive

Marshals and road signage will be in place to assist with Diversions

Local Access will be maintained and for Emergency Services.

Wicklow County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Today, 2nd April, we mark World Autism Day and April
is World Autism Month.

Neurodiverse people experience the world very differently to how neurotypical people do.

Sounds, touch, emotions, light, social situations, food, communication etc etc is all different.
To help neurodiverse in the best way it is important that the neurotypical, try to understand them and not expecting them to conform to the neurotypical way of seeing the world.

Everyone deserves to feel included, accepted for who they truly are and to be heard.
