Today, 2nd April, we mark World Autism Day and April
is World Autism Month.

Neurodiverse people experience the world very differently to how neurotypical people do.

Sounds, touch, emotions, light, social situations, food, communication etc etc is all different.
To help neurodiverse in the best way it is important that the neurotypical, try to understand them and not expecting them to conform to the neurotypical way of seeing the world.

Everyone deserves to feel included, accepted for who they truly are and to be heard.

The very first “Wicklow Wrapped Christmas Market” will take place from 12th to 14th December.

The market will celebrate Co. Wicklow's finest makers and producers. Every stall will be brimming with genuine, authentic and unique goods that are truly made right here in County Wicklow.

Dates & Times: Wicklow Gaol Courtyard

Friday, December 12th: 5pm to 8pm

Saturday, December 13th: 10am to 7pm

Sunday, December 14th: 10am to 7pm

The importance of visibility on our roads cannot be understated, particularly for vulnerable road users including pedestrians, cyclists, e-scooter drivers and motorcyclists.

Now that we have your attention, we are urging all road users to:

✅ Wear or use high-visibility clothing and accessories

✅Use appropriate lighting on bicycles, motorcycles, e-scooters and vehicles

✅Drive using dipped headlights at all times of day during the winter period

✅Slow down and anticipate vulnerable road users, allow extra space for overtaking on rural roads in particular

✅Be extra vigilant during hours of low light

As Ireland enters the darkest months of the year, the message is simple: If you can be seen, you can be safer.
