Not every recovery is a straight pull.

This Mercedes B-Class was tucked away behind a wall with no direct line of sight and no straight line to winch it onto the truck. Time for one of the most useful tools on any recovery truck – the sn**ch block.

By running the winch line through the sn**ch block mounted on the end of the bed, I was able to change the direction of the pull by 90 degrees and guide the car safely out of the driveway and straight onto the truck in one smooth movement.

Three minutes, one continuous clip, and a perfect example of how the right equipment and a bit of planning can turn a difficult recovery into an easy one.

This Ford Transit has developed a serious engine knock, and unfortunately that's usually very bad news. Once an engine starts knocking, you're often looking at a replacement engine or a difficult decision about whether the vehicle is worth repairing at all.
So today we're loading it up and bringing it away for its next chapter.

This Mazda CX-5 is making a serious trip… from Donabate, North Dublin all the way down to , Portlaw, Co. Waterford. 🚛

Tonight I’m a driver for hire 🚗💨

This tidy Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo was booked in for its annual NCT test… so rather than the owner rearranging their day, I collected it, brought it for testing, and dropped it safely back home afterwards.

For owners with multiple cars, staff vehicles, busy schedules or simply no spare time, sometimes it just makes sense.

Good news — it passed ✅

Fresh NCT cert sorted, car back on the driveway, ready to go for tomorrow morning.

Today’s mission: moving a very tall Volkswagen Crafter box body truck with a tail lift… because apparently normal height vehicles are overrated 😄

Collected in Sandyford, heading northbound through Dublin. And yes… once it goes up on the truck, it gets even taller! 👀🚛

Bonnie’s like a washing machine today… getting through the mixed loads 😆

Started the day moving sports cars… then scrap cars… and now we’ve got a luxury Range Rover up top with a single-post lift in tow behind it.

One delivery headed to a customer, the Range Rover headed to another garage. Different jobs, different customers, same truck doing what she does best 🚛💪

Recovery life keeps you guessing 😂

This Hyundai i10 needed self-centring wheel skates to get safely onto the truck. Delivered exactly where the garage needed it too — because once parked, it’s staying put until repaired! 🔧🚛
