With August now a distant memory it certainly provided some food for thought going forward 🤔

One major takeaway from the month was that even when you think you’re onto a winner the good old secondhand vehicle market can come back to bite you in the a # # 🤷‍♂️

The amount of seemingly “good vehicles” that were being sold with new NCT/CVRT’s but yet had so many underlying problems was shocking 🤦🏻‍♂️

While yes it should be the standard we all aim for the unfortunate reality is this is not the case 🤷‍♂️

Worryingly some garages/sellers use these tests as their baseline for the maintenance work they carry out on their vehicles prior to sale… 🤔

To make matters worse some send this work out to the local Slow Fit and Worst Drive tyre shops for repair.. need I say anymore …🫣

Like all secondhand vehicle anything can happen as soon as you drive out the gate but the main thing is to try reduce the risk as best you can 👍🏻🕵️‍♂️

The last month or so has seen a good number of German branded vehicles inspected 🕵️‍♂️

Personally I am a big fan of these but unfortunately like the majority of things In life there are pros and cons to them all. 🤷‍♂️

So I recently had the privilege of inspecting this little beauty for a customer 🕵️‍♂️

Yes a few little bits were noted on inspection (nothing major and all very fixable) but I have to say this is without a doubt one of the best fit out/conversions I have seen completed on a VW Transporter 👌🏻

All credit must go to the seller who has built this from the ground up, his attention to detail is something else 👍🏻

I know who to call if I ever decide to go down the camper van road 😏

A little look back at some of the wide range of vehicles inspected over the last month or so 👌🏻

They all bring their own little problems to the table, with that in mind it is very important to take that bit more time on vehicles that are less familiar 👍🏻🕵️‍♂️

This beautiful F10 520D M-Sport made its way home to Co-Laois today to its lucky new owner 👍🏻

I have to say I lost count with the amount of these I looked at but when your doing it for your buddy you leave no stone unturned 💪🏻😉

This car has literally every extra ticked from factory which included, heads-up display, windscreen Nav, HK sound system, front memory seats, front and rear heated seats, heated steering wheel, electric tow bar, adaptive lights to name but a few 😎

A special mention must also go out to who looked after all the items that were noted on inspection 👍🏻 I don’t have any affiliation with any garages but credit where credit is due in this case👌🏻

Wishing the new owner safe and happy motoring from us all here and hopefully he will keep it this clean going forward 😏😂

A massive congrats to a former client of ours who recently picked up this beauty from 😎👌🏻

Back earlier in the year this client reached out to us looking to inspect a couple of Nissan Figaro’s for her.

Unfortunately the cars we had a look at were suffering badly from rust and the decision was made to look elsewhere 👍🏻

Some options were explored in the UK via specialised dealers but in the end the decision was made to bring one in from 🇯🇵

And boy was it worth it 👌🏻 When I say the underneath of this car is like new I mean brand spanking and really makes it hard to believe that it is 34 years old 🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately the Nissan Figaro was a Celtic Tiger favourite and died a death like most J*p imports of that era making it next to near impossible in finding a clean one here for sale.

Once again a huge congrats to the new owner and many happy miles in this little beauty 👌🏻😎🍾

Ps, this car was driven from Enfield in Co Meath to Galway and never skipped a beat 😉

Huge congratulations to Rosemary and Pa from Killorglin who recently picked up this beautiful Fiat Rapido Motorhome that was sourced and inspected by us here at 👍🏻

The process was a little frustrating at times but we stuck with it and found this beautiful 4 berth rust free French import 👌🏻

Wishing them both a very safe and happy travels in their home away from home 🙏🏻

VAG and BMW are by far the most popular manufacturers inspected and requested by clients.👍🏻

While yes these brands are very much renowned for their quality unfortunately they also come with their problems 🤷‍♂️
