A day in the life of a 1st year apprentice mechanic working on land rover vehicles, Clarke started the day with a full front differential repair on a land rover discovery 4, while doing that job he designed a tool to help with the installation process of the 3 seals in the differential using fusion 360 and 3d printed the tool to do so, then he finished up the day with the start of a restoration on a 2003 land rover defender by removing the front crossmember as it was completely rotten with rust

With the drop in temperature the antifreeze in cars has work to do, the chemical make up of anti freeze is ethanediol which is an organic chemical compound formula C₂H₆O₂
Also in the antifreeze is sodium benzoate chemical formula C₇H₅NaO₂ which is a antimicrobial agent.
Finally there is Methyl-1H-benzotriazole chemical formula C₇H₇N₃ which is a corrosion inhibitor.
Even in the antifreeze there is a lot of chemistry going on, so picking the correct antifreeze for your car is vital,
When it comes to antifreeze there is no 1 magic solution each application determines its own chemistry.

The temperature has dropped, tpms lights are coming on, Amontons's law says that pressure and gas are directly proportional to each other when the volume and the amount of gas stay constant. so in common speak, as temperature drops so does pressure, but there is a few things that can be done to prevent loss of air, using nitrogen to inflate the tyre, when tyres are fitted,cleaning the bead of the rim and replacing the valve every time tyres are replaced. these will all help to prevent air loss,

How good are your tyres, with winter quickly approaching it is recommended to get the tyres on your vehicle checked, tread depth is just 1 of the checks that should be carried out to help in contributing to safe driving, other checks include tyre pressures, sidewall damage etc etc, and wheel alignment of course😊
