Sligo HGV Training Owned and established by Mike O’Neill RSA ADI 36805, Sligo HGV Training is Sligo’s leading rigid and artic truck driving school.

Mike first trained as an RSA Approved Driving Instructor in 2009 in Limerick. After moving to Sligo, he obtained his instruction qualifications in Rigid, Articulated Vehicles and Bus/Coach in 2018. Mike spent almost four years teaching people to drive cars, tow trailers, drive rigid & artic trucks, buses and coaches in Sligo before deciding to launch his own business specialising in Rigid & Artic truck driving lessons.

Rigid Truck Lessons

Our MAN TGM 18.250 rigid truck is fitted with an automatic 12 speed gearbox. Since November 1st, 2020, drivers can now pass their driving tests in an automatic vehicle and, as long as they hold a manual licence in another vehicle category (except motorbikes, cat A), they will be granted a manual licence on passing their test.
