Last August, Garda Lynam became alerted to a man in distress in the River Liffey. She entered the water and brought him to safety with the help of Garda Duhova.

Both Gardaí are among our 32 colleagues that are recipients at today’s Water Safety Ireland Awards.

The 32 recipients saved the lives of 16 people who were in immediate danger whilst in the water over recent months
