Kerry Fuel Flash Update: WARNING, Contains Evident Clickbait, Social Triggering & False Misinformation's.

The Battle of Whitegate Refinery began in earnest early this afternoon with an influx of Garda's carrying little sticks in a vaguely sinister manner. And in another surprising turn of events the army has also joined the party despite promises they were actually heading off for a well deserved romantic sunny holiday in Lebanon. I dont know, maybe they just took a wrong turn while out looking for a wet fuel station. Either way, a massive big green army wheelie bin (not a tank as previously reported) is on site threatening to remove some inconveniently parked vehicles. (Source: The Irish Examiner)

It's also been reported the Garda riot squad has released pepper spray on the peaceful heroic protesters outside the refinery. One of the affected protesters was heard screaming back "would ye ever put that f**ken pepper in a bit of sauce for us so we can lash it on our steak & chips ya ignorant blaggards". (Source: Some lad on FB)

I can also personally confirm that the announcement from DPD yesterday, that they would not be delivering today due to the fuel protests was blatant misinformation possibly designed to scaremonger the populace into a state of frenzy. I know this for a fact as I received a delivery this very lunchtime, despite receiving a txt msg from them at 09:01 this morn that my parcel would be delivered on Monday. I can only assume DPD are in cahoots with the Gov tax gouging criminals in Dublin to sow yet more misery and twisted WEF type mind games on the peoples of Ireland, for shame. But fair play for delivering my stuff, so thanks for that.

There's a reported 600+ fuel stations that have now run dry across the state. However, I have been assured almost all are still serving breakfast rolls and tea so settle down, there's no need to go mental just yet. (Source: A lovely old lady with a limp in the local Spar shop)

However, a far more deeply disturbing report is in circulation that, due to the ongoing calamity, some pubs are running out of alcohol as the delivery trucks have either run dry themselves, or have, more likely, joined the protest in Dublin. If this is indeed the case, then Godspeed lads. If it stops raining for 10 f**ken minutes I will head to town later and endeavor to find the truth on this important matter, hopefully the bars will not run dry until I'm finished. (Source: Some dude on TwiterX who heard it from his cousin)

To the farmers, hauliers, contractors, bus & taxi drivers, bikers and everyone else out there fighting for justice at this most epic of protests -

We see you. We hear you. And we stand with you. And if possible, please bring and empty the slurry tanks on the Dail, and then send them the bill, inc Delivery Charges, VAT & Carbon Tax for services delivered in kind πŸ€ͺ

Kerry Fuel Update: WARNING, contains clickbait, risk of social triggering and scaremongering.

Garda have finally managed to find some fuel for their chuck wagons and have arrived en masse at the scene of the Battle of Whitegate Refinery. It has been reported, albeit from some random DPD dude I met earlier who heard it from a lad on TwitterX, that the Garda have blocked all access into the refinery. So, the protesters are blocking the road out, and the Garda are now blocking the road in. This is a particularly interesting turn of events as on the face of it, the Garda may have actually joined the protest πŸ˜†

Despite earlier threats from some Gov officials, the army has NOT yet appeared in their big green armored ATV wheelie bins. According to many statements from good folks replying to my last post, the army have in fact been heading off to the Lebanon for some badly needed Vitamin D β˜€οΈ Lucky sods, the weather here is driving me to the drink.

In other news, shock, panic, anger and despair has gripped the nation as DPD have announced that due to the ongoing fuel debacle it will not be delivering anything tomorrow, Sat the 11th. How the nation will cope until delivery's commence again on Monday I've no idea. The Gov needs to get a grip on this before DPD have to cancel delivery's again.

And lastly, Honda Cub owners across Europe are now vigorously celebrating their choice of vehicular transport, a random spokesperson for the Honda Cub owners club, has stated to a GS owner "Ha, we f**ken tolled you so". And with 1.5 L/100km (approx. 66.7 km/L) who the hell can blame them right now. This of course has sparked panic buying of Honda Cubs, Monkey's and those weird Gromit things. And to be honest, it's the perfect excuse for me to go looking for another bike / moped thingy. πŸ€ͺ

Latest Update & Travel Advisory: WARNING, contains clickbait, risk of social triggering and scaremongering.

I find it hard to believe, but instead of sitting down for a chat with the protestors over a nice cup of whiskey laced tea, the Irish Gov has indeed let loose the puppies of war.

Yes, Yes, I know, it might look a fleet of BMW 1300GSA'a, but it's actually the Irish Army in tanks (not that there is a difference) being deployed today on the streets of Ireland to clear the insurrectionists, or in this case farmers and school bus drivers.

Oh, and as expected, fuel panic buying has commenced in earnest with q's outside the local petrol stations here in the Kingdom, some now gone dry as a camel's whatsit. With this in mind I am now advising to panic buy as much toilet paper and extra fuel bladders as you can for any two wheeled excursions to the Emerald Isle πŸ€ͺ

Kerry/Ireland FUEL Update: For those of ye looking to pop over here in the near future for a spin, well, it's not looking good right now lads. The sh$t's hitting the fan big time.

I've not seen much of the MSM outside of Ireland covering what's been happening here the last few days, but long story short, farmers, truckers, bus drivers, f**k, just about everyone has been protesting with the country at a standstill. Dublin, inc Dublin Port & Airport, Cork, Limerick, Galway, motorways, N roads, you name it are now blocked with a Go Slow Protest with thousands of tractors, trucks, busses, vans and liquorice allsorts for a third day.

Not in my memory have I seen anything here like it, nor have I seen the level of anger against our WEF Gov rats in charge of this sh*tshow.

Ireland's only oil refinery that supplies about a 3dr of the country's fuel stations is also blocked, no tankers can leave. I can only assume some fuel stations will run dry at some stage, soon.

Today, An Garda Siochana have announced they are going to go in hard to clear the blockades, and I've seen reports that the Gov is also planning to send in the army. From what I'm seeing on social media, many, if not most people are mad pi**ed off at the Gov, talking short ropes and long drops.

There’s a growing sense of uncertainty in the air. What started as a standstill has turned into something much bigger, a movement fueled by frustration, determination, and a refusal to be ignored.

I've no idea how this is going to play out but I think today will be crucial to what comes next. It's a Canadian scale truckers protest with neither side bending the knee so far. If the Garda/Army go in hard, and considering the level of anger and desperation some are justifiably feeling, I fear things could get very bad, very quickly.

If traveling here anytime soon ye might want to avoid Dublin Port, Motorways, and many N roads and stay updated on road blockages, which is not so easy at the moment. Of course filtering is an option for us lot, but please remember, the hard shoulders must be kept clear for emergency vehicles. Oh, and bring some extra toilet paper just in case πŸ™ƒ

Kerry Update: Forgive me Odin for I have sinned, it has been months since my last outing. It has been too damn wet and cold, and once it's below 6C all the bits I broke over the years hurt like hell and make weird clicking sounds no matter how much I spray 'em with WD-40.

Today was no different, t'was 4C up on Molls Gap as I made my way out and my pinkies froze. Why not wait 'till it warms up I hear you ask? Well, the Lord compelled me to do my civic duty.

The Marxist overlords of the Irish Soviet Socialist Republic have requested that due to some sh*tf**kery in a land far away, the Irish peasantry must now save fuel. Petrol, diesel, home heating oil, electricity etc, must be used sparingly in case we run out. We must drive/ride sparingly, only when absolutely necessary, and certainly not for pleasure.

So, despite the life threatening cold, I bravely got my ass out of bed, jumped on the bike and hit the petrol station to fill my massive tank. I then performed a conservative 200km run out to Beara from where I rode sparingly back around to Sneem. I then continued my civic duty and saved some fuel by taking a shortcut home via the Gap of Dunloe to a nice cup of tea. Due to the cold I did not enjoy myself at all. If anyone asks, I was absolutely miserable and will continue to only do it when absolutely necessary. πŸ€ͺ

I woke up early to behold a fine morn in the Kingdom and thought to myself it's BBQ weather. So up I got to head down to Lidls for some meaty BBQ treats.

Unfortunately I had a "senior moment" and I forgot where I was going, and forgot to go to Lidl, again πŸ˜‚πŸ€ͺ

So Myra asked me to drop off some packages at the post office.

No problem says I, especially as she'd not been specific about which post office ;)

I guess she meant Killarney post office as she was not well impressed that I dropped them off at the post office - in Waterville 65km away πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸπŸ

When I was a young lad I studied Latin and ancient Roman history. And one of the wisest phrases I learned was from the great roman philosopher, Automotus Bikus Twowheelius (Circa 287 BCE) who said "In primis avis occurrit vacua via". This of course means "the early bird meets an empty road" πŸ€£πŸπŸ˜‚
