DO YOU DRIVE A DIESEL CAR?
If so, do you know what is a Diesel Particulate Filter and do you know how to maintain it? A Diesel Particulate Filter is sometimes referred to as a ‘soot trap’. It is basically a filter designed to catch exhaust soot in diesel cars in order to reduce emissions.
Keep an eye on warning lights on your dashboard, typically, an amber light will indicate that passive regeneration wasn’t possible, so active regeneration is now being attempted. A warning light, however, indicates that the process has failed and a blockage has occurred. The best thing to do in such an instance is to take your car to a trusted garage. Normally, a DPF filter can be simply cleaned or repaired, but if the damage is really bad, it could well need replacing.
We offer Diesel Particulate Filter cleaning on all types of Diesel Particulate Filters.
