🚗 New Speed Limits 🚗

Right lads, here’s the story:

From 7th February 2025, the speed limit on local roads (L-roads), you know, those tiny, twisty, grass-growing-in-the-middle-of- boreens, have dropped from 80km/h to 60km/h. Because let’s be honest, nobody was safely doing 80km/h on them anyway (except maybe your uncle in the Hiace).

📌 More changes coming later in 2025, because we can’t do it all at once:

Regional roads (R-roads) will drop from 100km/h to 80km/h, so less rally-style cornering.

Urban roads & housing estates will see limits cut to 30km/h, meaning even your granny’s mobility scooter might overtake you.

⚠️ National roads (N-roads) stay the same… for now.

So keep an eye on the signs, ease off the pedal, and remember – you’ll still get there, just with less chance of landing in a ditch. Drive safe! 🚘
