Donie Comerford Auto Spares Vehicle recycling and dismantling specialists Donie Comerford Autospares was established in 2004 as car dismantler. We are based in Nenagh, Co.

We began as a small company with two employees and have grown in size. Today we employ 11 people and currently dismantle over 1000 cars, vans, and 4x4's over a secure 4 acre site. We have built a reputation as a fast, reliable service. Tipperary and are located 7.4km from Exit 26 on the M7 Limerick to Dublin road. We specialize in used parts from all manufacturers of cars, vans and 4x4's. We can also supply new parts at competitive prices. Our vehicles are stripped down by experienced mechanics so our parts are treated with the utmost care.. Over half of Irish cars fail their NCT first time 😬

In 2025, 885,904 of 1,744,985 full tests ended in a fail, a 50.8% fail rate.

The most common culprits:
🛞 Tyres, recorded on 14.3% of tests
🔧 Front suspension, 10.9%
💡 Headlight aim, 8.7%
🚗 Steering linkage, 8.5%

The good news is that a lot of these are fixable before you book. Check your tyre tread, bounce-test each corner of the car, and get your headlights checked.

Not only do we sell parts to people like you, we also export a large number of complete engine sets, suspensions and body panels in stock and ready for export to the UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Poland, Lithuania and all other EU countries.

There’s a caveat to the cars we can take…

If you’re thinking of scrapping your car, PLEASE do not remove essential parts like the engine, transmission or catalytic convertor. Removing these essential parts before dropping off the car can result in extra charges from the recycling facility instead of a free drop-off ❌ Don’t take any chances, bring your car to us as is (or ask us to come collect it), and we’ll help you out.
