More fuel increases

Attention all road diesel users !!

Get in early this month. Avoid missing out on the upcoming increases. Make sure to order early to ensure delivery.

With regard to fuel excise, the current VAT inclusive per litre reductions of 21 cent in respect of petrol; 16 cent in respect of diesel; and 5.4 cent in respect of Marked Gas Oil were due to expire on 28 February. The Financial Resolution extended these reductions to 31 May 2023, and provided for an incremental restoration to full rates by 31 October 2023 as follows:

The staggered increases will take effect for fuel delivered on or after the following dates:

1st June 2023

Petrol 6 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 4.88cpl)

Diesel 5 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 4.07cpl)

Marked gas oil 1 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 0.81cpl)

1st September 2023

Petrol 7 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 5.70cpl)

Diesel 5 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 4.07cpl)

Marked gas oil 1 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 0.81cpl)

31st October 2023

Petrol 8 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 6.50cpl)

Diesel 6 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 4.88cpl)

Marked gas oil 3 cent per litre. (excluding vat = 2.44cpl)
