We are so excited to welcome Jack O'Keeffe and to Barnahown this autumn for a cosy, Italian style harvest feast supper.

Many people know Jack from TV but what people may not realise is that he’s a very proud North Cork man and growing up in Doneraile he was inspired by the farmers, producers and growers he saw all around him in the Golden Vale to follow a career in food and hospitality.

And like several of us locally, after many years learning the ropes all over the world, he’s now chosen to return home with his young family to where it all began.

I have never met anyone as quick to agree to a party concept! And Jack is certainly a big part of the inspiration for - great food, celebrated well and enjoyed in the heart of the land that produced it.

Tickets are now on sale for our event on Saturday 14th November. Starting at 7pm. As usual, BYO preferred drinks and as Jack always says: come hungry! Pop-up link in bio.

I’m not sure if I was in Costa Rica or Anglesboro this evening… it was only the Frisian cows that gave it away!

We couldn’t wait to check out the new BothĆ”n Sauna at the foot of the Galtee mountains in one of our cutest local villages.

This gorgeous new space offers a stunning sauna with views across verbena waving in the breeze to a field full of nosey cows approaching the ditch to see who’s called in.

I’m not usually one for a cold dip but I had to try out the incredible Pools, Plunges & Outdoor Living tub - delighted to have egg timers that ranged from 30 seconds to 10 minutes to ease into it!

The design throughout is stunning: from the gorgeous showers to the elegant planting and festoon lighting.

Then back to the famous BOTHƁN itself for teas and chats and those cute changing rooms.

What a great new addition to Visit Ballyhoura - now there’s no excuse not to hit the hills when such a splendid reward awaits you afterwards.

Just a skip over the road from Norma Quane physio and pilates and the most scenic Reformer Pilates studio in Ireland, Anglesboro is definitely our newest bougie wellness destination in the three counties šŸ’š

You know the feeling: you’ve been out all day adventuring and the last thing you want to do is get dressed up to go out for dinner.

No need! Grab the gang and make a plan for a day of adventures across the Galtees and with a range of history, outdoor wellness and delicious foodie experiences to take your breath away.

Then home to for a well deserved rest. Fire up our complimentary BBQ and following our recipe for the perfect evening:

1. Select the meats of your dreams from our local butchers in Mitchelstown - be sure to call into Hanley’s and Finn’s to see what’s looking good
2. Pop into Kate and the team in for the freshest salads and accompaniments and if you spot Kate’s amazing focaccia, grab it immediately
3. Call to Norma and the girls in for sweets treats - even BBQs deserve a petit four plate!
4. Colm in has the best selection for BBQ pairing - we’re obviously biased and think it has to be but I’ve recently gotten some delicious white and summer rosĆØ wines, after you’ve had your aperitif of course
5. Garnish to taste with rosemary, mint, thyme, lavender and sage from our courtyard garden

Then enjoy a game on our thyme draughts board and lounger area designed by Pat

Because luxury doesn’t mean fancy. It’s quality time, with your favourite people. Eating and drinking the best of our producers. All wrapped up with a sunset soak in the Mountain View hot tub, a chat with the calves and the best sleep you’ve had in ages.

Be sure to pre-book our BBQ spots. In this weather demand is šŸ”„
