Driving Instructor

/ˈdraɪvɪŋ ɪnˈstrʌktər/
noun

Definition:
A calm, highly trained professional who possesses supernatural patience, lightning-fast reflexes, and the emotional strength required to sit in the passenger seat while basic physics is repeatedly challenged.

An expert translator of chaos into calm, capable of saying
“take your time”
while silently calculating brake distances, insurance excesses, and life choices.

Example in context:
See the person smiling gently while the learner negotiates a roundabout like it’s their first day on Earth? That’s a driving instructor — the only person who can witness a rolling stall, a missed mirror check, and a heroic overuse of the clutch… and still say,
“Good — let’s go again.”

All road users, always do everything we can to stay visible and safe in dark and icy conditions.

🚗 Drivers: Turn on your lights and ensure they’re working. Watch for pedestrians & cyclists, especially in poorly lit areas. Stay alert, reduce speed, and be mindful of fatigue.
🚶‍♂️🚴 Pedestrians and cyclists: Wear bright or reflective clothing. Stay in well-lit areas, where possible and use designated crossings.

All road users: Stay alert & look out for one another.

Some key guidelines to remember the morning after drinking alcohol:

⏳ The only cure is time – after drinking, the only way to expel alcohol from your body is to wait.
🕒 It takes roughly one hour for a unit of alcohol to leave the body – one unit is a standard measure of spirit, w**e, or a half glass of b**r.
😴 Fatigue magnifies the impairment effect of alcohol – if you went to bed very late after consuming alcohol, you may not be fit to drive the next day.

Never ever drink and drive.
