Westmeath may be Leinster champions, but it was a proud lily who bloomed this afternoon in Mullingar!!!!! Cloherinkoe man Daire Travers passed his driving test with an INCREDIBLE performance, picking up a SINGLE fault. Daire delivered his near perfect drive today due to the huge amount of work and application he dedicated in the run up to his test today!!!!!! Daire was an excellent student and a thorough gentleman throughout his EDT lessons and pre tests and a great man for an oul yap about the Gaaaahhh!!!!!! We wish Daire the very best for the rest of his playing season with Cloherinkoe and of course, it’s a massive CLAPS👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻FROM LAPS!!!!!! Stay safe on those roads DT!!!!! 🚗🚦🎯

A very, very special CLAPS 👏👏👏👏 FROM LAPS or in this case, a very, very special CLAPS 👏👏👏👏 FROM UNCLE PAULY as well as HUGS AND LOVES to my wonderful niece Darci Moran on passing her driving test today in Tallaght with a brilliant performance, picking up a measly 3 faults. Not just a happy driving instructor today, but also a hugely proud uncle!!!!! Stay safe on those roads Dash!!!!!! And yes, you’re driving for future matches/days out while I will enjoy creamy pints!!!!!!!! 🚗🎯🚦

The FIRST ATTEMPT CLUB gained not just another member, but also gained another O’Sullivan as Katie joined her brother Cian there after passing her driving test with a fantastic performance in Navan on Thursday, collecting a stingey 3 faults. Katie came to me for a couple of pre test lessons in her own car and her hard work paid off with a fantastic result yesterday. Not only is good driving a family trait, but just as much as Cian was a gent during his lessons last year, Katie is every bit as much of a lady and a pleasure to instruct. It’s a massive CLAPS 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 FROM LAPS to Katie!!!!! Stay safe in this roads Sully!!!!! 🚗🎯🚦

It’s a terrific Thursday for Dianne Grainger who nailed her driving test today in Tallaght test centre at the ripe old age of 52. Dianne put in a massive effort in preparation for her test today and is a fantastic example to older people who may have been putting off either learning to drive or siting a test. It’s not only a massive CLAPS 👏👏👏👏 FROM LAPS, it’s also a massive HUGS AND LOVES as Dianne happens to be my wonderful sister in law!!!!!!!! Stay safe on those roads Big Sis!!!!!!! 🚗🎯🚦

***CLEAN SHEET ALERT***
Tiernan Keogh delivered the PERFECT DRIVE this Easter Monday on passing his driving test while recording ZERO FAULTS in Mullingar. And what’s more, he joined the FIRST ATTEMPT CLUB as well!!!!!! Of course, Tiernans’ result was not an accident!!!! Tiernan invested a huge amount of effort and time into preparing and practicing in the build up to today, so it’s no surprise really that he delivered an IMMACUALTE performance. It’s all a little bittersweet for me, because on one hand, I am absolutely delighted with his result and performance today, it means I won’t get to sit in a car with this absolute gentleman again. Tiernan was an excellent student and fantastic company each and every time he underwent any lesson. It’s a massive CLAPS 👏👏👏👏 FROM LAPS!!!!! Stay safe on those roads Red Lemonade!!!!!!! 🚗🚦🎯

No need for Liam Foran to get the bus or get a lift to and from college anymore!!!!!! In fact, he can now offer his services as a driver in the car pool gang after passing his driving test in Navan today. A nicer man you couldn’t wish to meet, Liam was an excellent student all through his EDTs and pre test lessons. It’s a massive CLAPS 👏👏👏👏 FROM LAPS!!!! Stay safe on these roads Liamo!!!!!! 🚗🚦🎯

Ellie Bermingham cemented her membership in the FIRST ATTEMPT CLUB this afternoon in Navan after passing her driving test. Ellie’s performance on the road was fantastic, picking up just two faults!!!! Again, her result was no accident, as she was a brilliant, attentive student who didn’t develop any bad habits between finishing her EDT lessons and sitting her test today. And just like her sister Grace last year, Ellie also had the wonderful support of her parents who encouraged her from day one, making sure she got plenty of practice between lessons, including her doing a huge amount of the “family” runaround driving, which no doubt had a huge bearing on today’s result. It’s a massive CLAPS 👏 👏👏👏FROM LAPS!!!!! Stay safe on those roads Bermo!!!! 🚗🚦🎯

When Cian Colgan undertook his first EDT lesson with me, he was sporting the most incredible mullet in Longwood, was a single man and, of course, had a little learner permit in his pocket!!!! Now, the mullet is gone, the single man status is gone (hello K!!!!!!!!) and his little learner permit is gone as he passed his driving test with an excellent performance. Some bad luck and timing in the past (his car breaking down on the morning of a test and an important exam clashing with test dates) makes yesterday’s result all the sweeter. An absolute gem of a student and a gentleman, I would like to also wish Cian the very best of luck with his medical studies going forward!!!! It’s a massive CLAPS 👏👏👏👏 FROM LAPS!!!!!
