This 1973 Ford 7000 has topped a major vintage and classic machinery auction, selling for €58,402 (£50,000) plus fees.

The fully restored tractor, which displayed just six hours, formed part of the Mourne Collection - a lifelong collection of tractors and memorabilia assembled by a Co Down enthusiast and valued at more than £1m.

It wasn't the only machine to command a serious price. A Ford TW-35 sold for €47,305, a Ford FW-60 made €39,713 and a rare Massey Ferguson 1150 Multi Power changed hands for €37,377.

Other highlights included John Deere, Case International, Massey Ferguson and Ford classics, along with a rare 1983 Carraro 118.4 believed to be one of just six built.
