The car enthusiast community, bringing people together from all over the world!

Today we had this lovely couple from the UK in with us with their 1965 Morris Minor 1000 Convertible. They often travel around the UK, Ireland and Europe for roadtrips and car shows.

This week they were over to the do the same and attend a classic car show this weekend in Kilkenny.

I got the call yesterday from the owner who was a bit worried. The car was parked under a tree at their first hotel and tree sap had covered the car overnight! This can bake into the paint and cause severe damage to old paint.

Being a true enthusiast, the car having traditional oil based paint and lots of delicate parts. He knew full well not to go to a roadside car wash or valeting places because of the harsh chemicals they use.

So he was absolutely delighted to find a dedicated Detailer. We carried out a safe wash, cleaning the wheels, arches, vinyl softop etc. Then put a wax on it, tire dressing and cleaned the glass to have it show ready!

They were both absolutely delighted we could sort the issue, especially his wife who said, "You're a blessing because I would have had to listen to him give out about it if you couldn't" 🤣🤣.

It was a pleasure meeting these two who are living the retirement dream touring the world, driving and enjoying this car, what it was made for.

"I had owned my 2022 MX5 Roadster from new, and I loved it except for one thing, the very thin, soft, Mazda paint. It seemed to chip just by looking at a stone, and this seriously spoiled my driving enjoyment, so, after 4 years of ownership, and just 3500km covered, I decided to invest in full body paint protection film (PPF), including optical windscreen protection and ceramic coating of the car.

I looked around, and visited a couple of places, but they didn't inspire confidence, that is until I found DM Detailing in Lismore. Dan explained the process, gave me clear pricing, and even sent me a short video of the PPF pattern making process that would cut the individual pieces on his plotter.

The process took a couple of weeks to allow proper curing if the PPF, and I have to say I was blown away by the result. Not only does the car look better than new, it is also easy to clean (thanks to the hydrophobic properties of the film), and I no longer worry about stone chips ruining my Soul Red Crystal paintwork.

Dan recently had the car back for a weekend to clean and check everything, and all is good.

2022 BMW i4 M50 MSport producing 544 horsepower as standard in with us a while back to get it up to standard and well protected for our client.

This tailored package consisted of the following services:
🟢 Multi stage decontamination wash to remove all traces of dirt, contaminants like tar and fallout from all exterior, wheels, arches and door shuts etc.
🟢 Minor Paint Correction carried out with some isolated deep scratch removal. Removing scratches, swirls and as many defects safely possible. After the cutting stages, a final refining stage was done to bring out the highest gloss possible on the San Remo Green paintwork and gloss black trim.
🟢 Gold level total exterior ceramic coatings. The Paint, Glass, Wheels, Callipers & Trim coated with the highest durable coatings we offer.
🟢 Wear & Tear PPF Kit installed to protect some easily damage and high impact areas. The gloss black B-Pillars and rear bumper luggage strip, which protects the top of the bumper from scratches when loading/unloading the boot. Also great to protect against scratches if you have dogs in and out.

For a 4 year old car, there was a massive improvement made. The owner was delighted and had since let me know how easy and enjoyable it had been to wash it himself.
