Probe 2000 is designed to act as a metal treatment with unique friction modification properties. The product is effective on any type of metal surface.
Probe 2000 is necessary wherever lubrication is needed, be it automotive, industrial or any other enterprise. The product is widely used especially in gearboxes, differentials and all internal combustion engines found in use today. This includes petrol, diesel, propane and natural gas, dual fuel or other conventionally fueled equipment.
Probe 2000 cannot be used in automatic transmissions, metal-to-metal wet clutch plate systems or in hydraulic systems where oils are used which are not compatible with petroleum or mineral oils.
Probe 2000 is recommended for use in cars, trucks, buses, agricultural implements and equipment, motor cycles, racing vehicles, road works machinery & equipment, fork lifts, ships and boats, aeroplanes, taxis, military, vehicles and equipment, mining machinery & equipment, machine tools, turbo-charged engines, generators, compressors, chain saws, industrial gearboxes, bearings in oil bath, transmissions, reduction gears, pumps, valves, extruding machines, elevators, metal working machines etc, etc.
Functions
It must be borne in mind that if no lubricant is present in an engine, gearbox or differential, undue stress on the components will induce metal fatigue and seizure will follow. In order to overcome this problem oil is used.
Unfortunately like most other things, oil has its limitations and cannot provide total protection.As soon as oil is heated, it loses its viscosity and as a result its lubricating and protecting qualities.
Accordingly where lubrication and coolant starvation is induced, excessive wear and total seizure is imminent. Research has also proved that most wear takes place during cold starts in engines. This is caused by the absence of oil on the moving components when the engine is started. During engine stoppage the lubricating oil drains into the sump and requires circulation before it can offer lubrication or protection.
By treating the engine, gearbox or differential with Probe 2000, the moving components are coated with a thin layer of Teflon™. As a result, instead of having metal to metal you now have Teflon™ to Teflon™, which provides the same lubricating, and protection capability as wet ice on wet ice. This enhances the vehicles overall performance, economy and substantially reduces wear by up to 75%. It also eliminates engine vibration and reduces fuel and oil consumption.
During tests where oil and coolant starvation were induced, Probe 2000 proved itself by preventing seizure and where seizure did occur prevented serious damage.
Due to its excellent friction modification properties and the resultant decrease in operating temperature, Probe 2000 proved during tests to reduce oil deterioration, which leads to longer oil life and decreased service intervals. Tests indicated that Probe 2000 rejuvenates worn engines due to its capability to increase compression by 10%, also leading to improved engine performance.
Other advantages are its ability to prevent carbon deposits and its resistance to corrosion. Probe 2000 is very durable, one treatment lasts 80,000 km (50,000 miles).
