Breen's Driving School Killarney Breen's School of Motoring has been serving the training needs of the learner driver market in Killarney Co.Kerry since 1995.

We specialize in car and motorcycle training but we are approved driving instructors for all categories. We are also members of the RoSPA Advanced Driver Association and had received a diploma in this area. We have been delivering the Essential Driver Training (EDT) since its introduction in 2011. This training course is for learner drivers with learner permits for category B vehicles, cars and li

ght vans. There are 12 one hour lessons in this course. Breens Driving School is a Road Safety Authority (RSA) approved training center for the delivery of Initial Basic Training (IBT) for motorcycles. IBT is a training course for learner riders. It helps novice motorcyclist master basic motorcycle skills and improves the rider’s knowledge of road safety.

On the 22 December 2018 the law changed.

Now, if an unaccompanied learner is detected, the vehicle can be seized. If the driver is not the owner, the car is liable to be seized, and the owner is also subject to a fine of up to €1000.

To the end of July 2018, 87 lives have been lost on our roads. This is 6 fewer when compared to the same period in 2017. Using the roads is one of the most dangerous things we do each day. Be road safety aware during every trip you take; wear your seatbelt, avoid distractions, drive at an appropriate speed and actively look out for other road users.
