This 1974 four berth Westfalia is now available for sale
We fully rebuilt this from a rust free West Coast California body shell nine years ago and it’s been only lightly used and extremely well looked after since .
At the time the body shell was completely stripped down and repainted in Yosemite yellow paint which is correct for the year , then is was waxed internally and fully rebuilt mechanically, everything was replaced with new components.
It still drives better than new Thanks to the electric power steering , servo disc brakes a rebuilt freeway flyer gearbox mated to the more robust type4 1800cc engine with correctly jetted dual ict Weber carbs .
The exhaust / heating system is still as new and everything is working perfectly .
There’s dual batteries and a full leisure electrics system with external hook up .
Inside we have a lightweight voringher ply timber cabinetry done in similar style to the Westfalia Berlin interior with integrated spare wheel , Waeco compressor fridge / freezer , smev dual hob and sink unit , water and gas tanks and storage .
It has a full width rock and roll bed with dual inertia seatbelts and a middle lap belt
The passenger seat was converted to swivel and all the upholstery is Westfalia original plaid material
Lots of storage underneath the rear bed and rear lockers and of course the big roof bed common to all the later model Westfalia campers
This van has just been checked over in the workshop and is ready to use immediately.
