I am off this week but well done to Jordan Butler who passed today . And thanks also to who helped me out by taking Jordan out on a pre test lesson and letting him use her car for the test . He said it really helped his confidence to have a second opinion from another driving school. Safe driving Jordan .

Kilkenny gone from a 6 week wait for a test last September to a 16 week wait this April

Kilkenny driving test centre is located in Government Buildings, Hebron Road, Kilkenny.

It has 5 driver testers since June 2025, driving testers here also cover Kilkenny O Loughlin Gaels centre. For the year up to April 2026 it averaged 195 tests per month.

The amount of people waiting for a test April 2025 was 782, by April 2026 this had increased to 846. Estimated wait time was at 23 weeks in April 2025 and reduced to 16 weeks April 2026.

The monthly average driving test pass rate for the year up to April 2026 was 51.92%, the highest average monthly pass rate was recorded in July 2025 at 68.2% and the lowest was 41.3% in May 2025.

The number of driving test not conducted / abandoned for the year up to April 2026 averaged at 20 per month. October 2025 recorded the highest no shows for driving test at 13.
