It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of our beloved Eileen.
Eileen was a devoted wife, a much-loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and mother-in-law, and a familiar, cherished presence in the shop for many years. She was truly part of the fabric of daily life here. Always ready with a warm welcome, a kind word, and a friendly chat for everyone who came through the door.
Behind the scenes, Eileen quietly kept everything running smoothly, never more so than through her seemingly endless supply of freshly washed tea towels. A small act that perfectly captured her generosity, care, and constant support for the shop and for all of us.
Our family is heartbroken by this unexpected loss, and we deeply appreciate your understanding, kindness and support at this very difficult time.
The shop will be closed Friday 20th February at 6pm & Saturday 21st February at 2:30pm as we take time to mourn and be together as a family.
Thank you to all our customers, neighbours and friends for your messages, kindness and support. Words can’t describe how much she will be missed by her family and the staff in the shop…
