Nice wee 4AGE 16v engine being fully rebuilt at the moment !! while the cylinder head is away being professionally cleaned and left like new it gives the perfect chance to put the time in to getting the bottom end prepared for paint!
First picture is the way it was before, second picture is after a thorough cleaning with wire, and the third picture is after using a Wurth rust removal product.
The mating surface for the head also fully cleaned and cylinder bores honed !

As you can see the end result leaves the block immaculate and this work makes all the difference to the finish on the block afterwards! It’s a small detail but it makes all the difference especially for the standards the Twincams are being restored to nowadays
Hopefully this wee engine will be all together in the coming weeks 😎✅
