How much masking tape do we use when masking sensitive parts.... All of it 🫣

We dont take risks, this is why we chemically and ultrasonically clean parts prior to Cerakote's "Gas Out".

Gas Out is up to 2 hours in an oven at Cure temperatures.
Of oil leaks out.... back into the ultrasonic cleaner and back in into the oven

This makes sure all oil and contaminants are out and the internals are DRY.

Should blasting media get inside our parts are so clean that a blast of air when done blows it out 😎

No joke ..... the workshop is a very loud and annoying place to be 🤣

Its what's its got to be to clean parts prior to Cerakote though 😁

Ultrasonic cleaning is just one step we use to remove oil dirt and carbon off your parts 😎

The 160 ltr tank on this cleaner is great for big parts but only takes 1 side of a V8 manifold 🫣

We chemically and ultrasonically clean parts prior to blasting and Cerakote;

Now heres something we like to call "Post Cerakote clean up".
Its not that Cerakote needs additional works but we just couldn't send a part out with rusty threads 🤮🤮.

We also have to laugh, these calipers coated in Cobalt H-112 not only looks like they are cast this colour.... but you can clearly see where someone held them in a vice 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Chemical and ultrasonic clean first
Oven bake for Cerakote "Gas out"
Once we know they're clean and oil free we blast to remove rust, oxidation old coatings etc.

This set came in for Satin Aluminium H-151.

Threads coated to add corrosion protection, yes a nut stull threads on 😎.

Customer wants to replicate the original coating.
It was applied thin enough to look like a wrinkle effect but it was actually the casting marks.
A coating so thin ment that powder coating was out of the question, Hello 😎

Of course Cerakote's chemical resistance means that not only can you clean it with Acetone but we can coat the inside of the cover can also 😲.

Where some coatings can't coat threads without tolerance stacking, we can to add another corrosion resistance layer 😎

When the customer has the top skimmed to a factory spec its going to look epic 😍😍😍😍😍😍
