Best of luck to Cathal Murray, Team Management and the Galway Camogie squad who face Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie final today in Croke Park at 5.15pm.

We will conduct a 24-hour speed enforcement operation in Galway and nationwide from midnight tonight in partnership with the Road Safety Authority Ireland. This will be the second national of 2025, and we are asking the public to please support the initiative by slowing down.

Even if road and weather conditions are good, any increase in speed increases a driver’s likelihood of being involved in a serious or fatal road traffic collision.

With longer periods of daylight we can expect an increase in vulnerable road users, pedestrians and cyclists.

We are asking people to have a conversation with those around you about speed, driving safely and helping to make sure everyone using Irish roads arrives home safely.
