Plastic Welding Solutions – Plastic and Helmet Restoration Business Policy
Company Name: Plastic Welding Solutions
Instagram:
1. Scope of Services
Plastic Welding Solutions provides nationwide plastic welding services, especially for diesel tanks, agricultural sprayer tanks, and other weldable plastic components.
Additionally, the company has over 11 years of experience in restoring Oldstyle Cooper and Gola helmets. All helmet restorations are performed using professional plastic welding technology, with the primary goal of reconstructing the helmet to its closest original state.
1.1 Helmet Condition and Risks
Helmets received by Plastic Welding Solutions are often 20–30 years old and have been used across multiple generations. Their material may be fatigued, aged, or weakened due to time, usage, and prior amateur repairs.
In several cases, customers request quotes for helmets that have already been attempted to be repaired by at least three different people. These helmets are immediately rejected, as the responsibility for prior repairs does not lie with us, and further restoration cannot provide any protection.
Plastic Welding Solutions examines the helmet condition solely based on photographs submitted by the customer. Any amateur repairs, gluing, or modifications are documented, but helmets that were previously repaired multiple times are not accepted for restoration.
The purpose of helmet restoration is not to provide new protective capabilities, but to reconstruct the helmet as closely as possible to its original condition. The customer acknowledges that risks due to age and material fatigue exist, even if the helmet appears flawless externally.
The user of any helmet, even if it appears undamaged, assumes the risks associated with its age and type. The company is not responsible for injuries or health consequences resulting from usage. The primary responsibility rests with the original manufacturer.
2. Payment Terms
Quotes are based solely on photos submitted by the customer.
Preliminary quotes apply only to visible damage in the submitted images.
If previously unseen damage is discovered upon receiving the helmet, restoration will proceed only after the customer’s prior approval and acceptance of any additional costs.
Payment for restoration is due after completion, exclusively through the payment link provided by the company.
Customers receive documentation (photo or video) of the restoration.
Invoices are issued upon request; subsequent modifications are not permitted.
Shipping costs, both to and from the company, are the responsibility of the customer.
3. Restoration Timeline
Helmet restorations typically take 1–2 business days after receipt.
Restoration times are indicative and may vary in exceptional circumstances.
Helmets previously repaired unprofessionally – including glued, sewn, riveted, wired, reinforced with metal plates, or modified with foreign materials – will not be accepted.
4. Shipping and Liability
The sender and courier are responsible for the helmet until delivery is confirmed.
Plastic Welding Solutions assumes responsibility only after documented receipt.
All returned packages must include tracking.
Helmets must arrive disassembled: padding, screws, fasteners, and faceguards removed.
The company is not responsible for injuries or damages resulting from prior amateur repairs or improper use.
Plastic welding involves sanding, which may partially or fully remove logos and markings.
5. Warranty
Plastic Welding Solutions provides a 1-year warranty solely for the quality of the restoration performed.
The warranty does not cover new damage, breaks, or pre-existing damage.
Improper use, impacts, drops, or overloading are not covered.
6. Data Processing and GDPR
Only data necessary for restoration (name, Instagram/TikTok/Facebook username) is collected.
Waitlist data is confidential and not publicly accessible.
All personal data is deleted immediately after the restoration is completed.
Data is not used for marketing purposes.
7. Disclaimer of Liability
Plastic Welding Solutions is not liable for injuries or damages resulting from manufacturer defects, prior amateur repairs, or risks assumed by the customer.
Restoration does not constitute a manufacturer’s warranty and does not alter the original certification or safety rating of the helmet.
8. Communication
All communication must be in writing (Instagram, email).
The company does not accept phone calls or voice messages.
9. Waitlist and Appointment Scheduling
Service operates on a waitlist basis.
Slots are not public, and booking is not automatic.
In case of cancellation, the slot may be offered to another customer.
10. Refusal of Service
The company reserves the right to terminate service immediately in case of disrespectful, threatening, joking, or offensive communication, returning the helmet without restoration.
11. Disputes and Burden of Proof
The customer is responsible for proof of shipping.
Proof must be documented in writing (tracking, courier receipt).
Without valid documentation, Plastic Welding Solutions assumes no financial, legal, or other responsibility, and the request shall be considered closed.
12. Special Provision for Sentimental Restoration
Plastic Welding Solutions returns the restored helmet with the understanding that the customer, being aware of the warnings about material aging and risks outlined in the policy, will not use it for games or training. The helmet is restored for sentimental reasons, such as family heritage or emotional attachment, to preserve its appearance and condition. The customer acknowledges that the helmet is intended only for home, display, or collection purposes, and fully accepts the company’s recommendations and warnings about the helmet’s safety, regardless of whether the helmet was previously unaltered or already restored.
13. Closing Statement
By sending the helmet, the customer acknowledges that the Plastic Welding Solutions Business Policy is accessible to them and sends the helmet for restoration with full awareness of its contents. Upon receiving the restored helmet, the customer continues to receive it with the understanding that they have read and accepted all points of the policy, including the warnings, warranty limitations, and liability exclusions.
We emphasize once again that the warnings relate to the helmet’s age and material fatigue, and are not a result of the restoration or our work. Even completely intact and flawless Oldstyle Cooper or Gola helmets are not suitable for protective use due to their age.
14. Force Majeure
Plastic Welding Solutions reserves the right that in cases of force majeure, the performance of the service may be partially or fully prevented, delayed, or interrupted.
Force majeure shall include any unforeseeable event beyond the control of the business that prevents or makes the continuation of the service impossible, including but not limited to:
- serious illness,
- accident,
- incapacity,
- death,
- or any other circumstance that makes the continuation of the service impossible.
The customer acknowledges that the acceptance of a quotation and the preparation of the helmet (including full disassembly, removal of padding, stitching, and other components) is carried out at their own decision and responsibility.
In the event that the service cannot be completed due to force majeure, the customer shall not be entitled to claim any costs, compensation, or make any demands against the company or its family members, including but not limited to:
- costs arising from the disassembly of the helmet
- costs of restoring the helmet to its previous condition (re-padding, stitching, reassembly)
- shipping or return shipping costs.
The company only charges for work that has been fully completed. If the service is not performed due to force majeure, no payment obligation shall arise.
By sending the helmet, the customer acknowledges and accepts that in such cases all risks are borne solely by the customer.
