E60 520D. Dropped her chain as they do 😞😞. She took 4 valves and snapped a few rockers along the way. We might actually say that’s reasonably lucky, no piston damage, most valves survive. Could have been a whole lot worse. Full chain kit, full set of rockers and 4 valves replaced . Skimmed , pressure tested and new head gasket. Job’s a good un, quieter than he’s ever heard it we’re told 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🚙🚙🚙

Hello everyone. From next week we will be running a little competition for our customers. Every customer we have in before the New Year will have their name and number put into a hat. No catch, no minimum spend. On Monday January 4th we will draw one name from the hat and the winner will receive a free full service from us to be redeemed at any time throughout 2021.

2016 Astra diesel. Guides for timing chain collapsed sending several fragments loose in and around the timing gear. The result being a metal fragment jamming and snapping the oil pump drive chain. Luckily the driver was quick enough to stop avoiding any catastrophic engine damage. New timing chain, oil pump chain, replaced all gears, guides and tensioners. Oil and filter, crankshaft oil seal and rocker gaskets replaced also for good measure. No point in doing the job twice from a resulting oil leak. Of course Opel decided it was a good idea to have the timing gear on the gearbox side????? The mind boggles!!! 🚗🚗🚗🔧🔧🔧⚙️⚙️⚙️
