So once we stripped the car down, we started to uncover areas of corrosion, some we had known about.. some were suprises. This is part of the reason we take the time to remove so much and going back to the bare metal, and on this one it showed us exactly why we do it. Something can look perfect from the outside but underneath be a different story. Every single area affected had to be dealt with correctly before we could even think about moving to the priming stage… The areas of concern were media blasted and the corroded brackets had to be replaced with new ones.. When you do a proper repaint it’s about much more than masking up and laying on the fresh paint. The R35 was carefully stripped of bumpers, lights, trims and other removable parts so we could get right into the edges, shuts and hidden areas all of the components that were removed from the R35 were further stripped down individually. it takes longer, but its the only way the achieve the finish, that we are happy with providing.
